Say, do you think you could make a new thread, there has been pictures of a new mobile suit; RIX-01 G-First. I am not sure if its a new manga or light novel series, but it depicts the U.C.0096, so I am not sure if it takes place the same time as Gundam Unicorn or either during or just after the end of it.

I would like to respectfully request a genuine "Gundam Wing - Series and Character Discussion" thread. So far I've always been cluttering the Frozen Teardrop one with that kind of stuff.

Yeah, I thought about hijacking that one (I even did, kinda). The problem though is that that one starts off as and stays consistently a "rate the series" thread, which isn't what I'm looking for. In-depth series and character discussions seem off-topic and counterproductive, seeing as there have been people unfamiliar with the show who looked through that thread to see if it is worth watching.

The kind of discussions I have in mind would be spoiling the whole series, ruining all the fun for those folks. Or I'd have to stick all my posts under spoiler tags, which is also kinda silly.

You can't rate a series unless you've seen it. And a discussion of the series and characters helps in explaining any rating done. So I don't think you would have to put anything in spoiler tag.

I'm afraid that depends on what topics you choose to discuss. If it's the plot, then of course you are spoiling it. I can give a rating and talk about plot in vague terms, like saying it's compelling, without giving away twists or large parts of the story.
Granted, a person would have to take my word on it, but I believe that's what a decent rating is supposed to be. A mostly objective, concise opinion of the series or movie. Not a plot summary.
How many people have had their motivation to see a movie spoiled by already knowing what will happen? So sticking analyses in there would be out of place in my opinion.

But just to be clear, I'm not insisting vehemently on the creation of a new thread. It's just that I find the one option you were so kind to present, monster, terribly unfitting.
I can stick to the Frozen Teardrop thread, as I know many don't mind. But some do and I'd like not to feel going off-topic when I want to talk about the series itself. :/

And truth be told, I don't find requesting a discussion thread for an entire series to which all sorts of things can be directed (vs. debates, character fanboygirling, shipping, etc.) all that unreasonable.

well I am kinda thinking hard for it.

have points to against it.

1) High chance the thread going simply creating fan war. I dont really want that in this forum. the fanbase already volatile enough

2) I afraid the discussion going to bring FT material in the thread. if so you guys simply use FT thread.

That said. I dont mind creating Glory for the Loser thread. if you want it to be seperated
