The OVA was funny, it only needed to improve on the animation department. Hopefully the tv series will make that possible.

The website for the TV series is up.

http://www.takeshobo.co.jp/sp/tv_moritasan/

Going by the image, the budget got a little bit of a boost.

I am still glad that this became a TV series, but I was unaware of the format until now. Apparently it's a series of five minute shorts. There's also a brief intro song by Iori Nomizu, who's not even on the cast list (but she might make a cameo or something). Mayu is as awkward as ever, and I will give it this. The animation looks much more fluid and animationy compared to the OVA. The colors are a lot more vibrant too.

And the character design is different to the OVA.

Not even that, lol (This first one was three minutes)

Yeah that first episode was so short and insubstantial that I don't even remember what I just watched, it was about girls at school talking to each other and being cute or something

It's an okay watch, though, especially since Wednesdays are always almost devoid of anime for some reason.

Lol this is so worth it. Along with Double J and Nyanpire, this completes my dose of short but awesome.

Episode 2 has our first on-air appearance of Chihiro, and a "it might be yuri" moment, complete with the befuddled male onlookers.

This is a sweet show ... I enjoyed the OVA and enjoyed the first ep I saw ... semi slice of life comedy and fluff.

I'm following this one this season.

Hilarious. Ep 2 is absolutely hilarious

Btw, just like Forsaken_Infinity mentioned. Check out Double-J also. A great short random comedy series and probably have one of the best ED (only 20s) of the season

This is too short

It seems like they're reusing some of the OVAs' jokes too. I think I'll just wait for the series to end to marathon it. It'll be more enjoyable for me this way.
