I liked this episode as much as last week's too. They're more focused on Ryouko and Ryoushi, compared to some of the earlier ones which were sometimes all over the place (plus RxR were pretty boring then.

Wooooooooookay! Not exceptional, but not a bad episode.

The whole amnesia shtick is, of course, a convenient way to have some character development. Yeah, it's just out of the blue, but somehow I'm okay with it. At least we got a non-tsundere Ryouko out of it. : )
The Jizou mission may have been just the setup to the real story, but I do hope we get to see them; there's something about those two I find incredibly adorable.

Man, that Shiro. With that amount of smugness, I won't be satisfied unless he gets an SnH-style final beatdown. I've enjoyed Ryoushi's growth from the beginning episode, and now that he's come face-to-face with Mr. Bad Guy, it might inspire him grow even more.

So what the heck is the fairy tale next ep? I would of said the 3 Little Pigs, but I don't remember a mouse in that story.

Watched last week's and this week's episodes...great stuff. Really funny through out. I do like how they manage to add character development in with all of the comedy and weekly event.

is episode 7 loosely based on a fairytale, or is it just a for the sake of story episode?

I want to see more of Ryoushi using his shooter.
Looks like he keeps it in that bag around his waist that hangs around his butt.

He should add some more tools to it to bring out sometime.

The aftercredits Omake with the couple was pretty cute. Happily ever after..

I think it goes along the lines of this. Shirou attacked Ryouko. Ryouko was able to fend him off. Fearing that his reputation will be ruined and/or the law will arrest him, he struck first by fabricating a lie that she seduced him and they "did it." Ryouko denies it and told the truth that he assaulted her. At this point, her classmates/friends all thought that she was trying to cover up her "loose transgressions" and get back at Shirou for telling the "truth" and breaking up with her. Ryouko then goes into depression and denial since no one believes her.

Well, that is my interpretation about what happened.

Which is quite a surprise i must say, because i wasn't expecting this much development for our main two cast members. I just hope it goes all the way, and doesn't stop half way.

You know the kind where 'our heroine finally excepts her feelings but just hits the guy again' ending?

Lol. I was squeling with lulz all throughout this episode. And the drama wasn't half bad either.

Dammit, I wish they didn't have to pull that blasted amnesia route with the episode. Nice confrontation with Hitsujikai made the episode not suck thankfully. I did rather like Ryouko's slip up at the end about not remembering though.

nice eps, everything nice and cute until Hitsujikai showed up...

the 13-year old Ryouko is so different, and Ringo's face when she is having an evil idea is very cute

Damaged Goods.

The difference between Ryouko as a thirteen year old shy girl and now at sixteen and masculine really drives home just how possibly traumatic her past was to cause such a radical change. I actually used to think that, even if she was more feminine back then, her personality wouldn’t have been that much of a difference to her personality now. The dissociation of the last 3 years constitutes a major shift, if not outright restructuring, of the her cognitive framework. However, the fact that she regresses to this point suggests that she never really did away with her old self. Rather, she pushed it back and built a new “self” on top of it. Her old personality is still there, made manifest by regressive amnesia, showing again the masks and facades she wears on a daily basis since that event 3 years ago.

Does Ryoushi understand the difference? I think it’s been pretty clear that Ryoushi and Ringo are the only two people who can see right through her, so I think he understands. He’s always known that Ryouko’s not who she pretends to be, and that there’s a deeper layer to her, and this event makes this manifest for him and Ringo to witness. While I would have wanted for Ryouko to be the one to open up to him, having him learn of things this way would probably give more entertainment value anyway. That, and as a shocking turn of events for all three of them, puts Ryoushi in a position to decide. Meeting Shidou in the rain puts him in the hot seat.

Would Ryoushi like damaged goods?

First of all, Shidou is a sick fuck.

Whether or not his “revelation” of possibly sexually assaulting Ryouko is true, what we do know is that it is on an equal level of gravity and depravity as whatever the truth is. It’s enough to make her repress, change her personality, change schools and move to an entirely new city. It actually makes Shidou’s actual presence in this city all the more suspect; him being in the same city but in different schools might be more than a simple coincidence. Again we don’t know, and neither does Ryoushi. All we have is Shidou being vague with the truth in some sadistic desire to both twist the knife already in Ryouko’s heart, and to stab a new one into Ryoushi’s.

And as expected, Ryoushi’s doesn’t give a damn. As cliche as his reaction may be, he’s already put his foot down and his will set in stone. While he will wait for Ryouko to finally open up to him, he’s already decided that whatever the truth may be, it won’t change the fact that he loves. So what if she’s no longer “pure”. So what if people brand her a lier. He believes in her and the truth she possesses. Even if she’s considered “damaged goods”, so is he. He’ll protect her and make sure that things like this never happen again.

That’s the sign of a great man then and there.

Well, that is my interpretation about what happened.
That's what I got out of all of it. Naturally he says he didn't "eat her" at the end to dispel any otaku rage.

Yeah, that would be preferable. We've had enough of those stories after all. I want to see Ryoushi be a man before Ookami loses most to all of her tsun though.

The amnesia route is always iffy and always feels like a cop out, but I think they handled it nicely here. I also liked how she did remember what happened. So many times, the character is unaware of what happened while they had the amnesia. Her slip up was really funny too.

What a great evil face. Simply brilliant.

Yeah. He is pretty twisted. One thing that came to mind when he said all of that is how a 13 year old boy can eat a 13 year old girl. They're 13! No wonder he took it back. Now, if these characters were in college and this happened when they were in high school...then it'd be a little different.

Episode 7 was pretty good. The guy Ami liked kinda reminded me of Chad from Bleach. Girly Ryouko was interesting. I'm not quite sure, but it almost seemed to me that she was pretending to have amnesia, or pretending from a certain point, given the slip up about remembering having eaten the parfait.

So what if they're 13? That's not terribly uncommon, you know.

Jizou reminds me of Otsuu. Working to pay of a debt. Feels a bit of a recycled concept at this point. True, the difference is Jizou loved the guy, but still...
