If you ask me, this episode takes place after season 1, since Ciel is wearing the exact same clothes as in the season 1 finale, and he's in a coma... he didn't have his eyepatch and his ring either (until Sebastian gave it back).

& yay for more trap Ciel!

It's like this.

First two DVDs got announced for September and October. 2nd of which will include episode 3 and the first OVA 'Ciel in Wonderland'. Both Limited Editions will come with soundtrack CDs (yay Taku, though I wonder if it's just going to be 5 tracks per disc if they plan to put soundtrack CDs on future discs too, lol).

Also announced are 10(ten!) character singles to be released through August-October. The character choices however... seem very odd for Kuroshitsuji II...

I enjoyed this first episode much more than I thought I would. I really like both Claude and Sebastien. The anime realm needs much more refined&kick-ass male characters like those two meanwhile I need to find one to serve me IRL >.>.
And Nana in psycho' shota is also big win for me, so waiting to see more of the serie!

-Psycho!Nana is awesome. She needs more roles like this. Honestly. She did a better job then I expected. Sakku's voice is always win.
-Seeing that Alois and Claude are only big filler characters makes more sense that Nana is in this.
-Over the top table settting is over the top table setting. Megane moe ~
-I never finished the first season, I was expecting this to start from scratch with a new set of characters. Guess I've been troll by A-1 Pictures. Now I must finish off the first season so I can hear more Psycho!Nana without being spoiled. But wow, Maaya Sakamoto and Nana Mizuki in the same show?
-No wonder they told everyone just to watch the first episode.

Wait...they hired Nana yet not forcing her to sing? Impossible. No one ever hires Nana if they didn't need her to sing. She had the tiniest role in FMA:B yet her character still had a character single...

Oh yeah!! Sebastian and Ciel. I was so happy to see them back.
Hopefully they will replace Alois and Claude as the main roles. I'm not very fond of Alois. He is not only annoying, but is also evil. Look at how he abused Hannah.
Another highlight of Ep1 is the Sebastian vs Claude scene. Sebastian is still kick-ass as usual.
From the preview, it seems that the next episode will focus on Ciel and Sebastian. And it looks like the boy in the ED is Ciel, not Alois. If so, I bet they have major roles in Season 2.

I was thinking the ring hosted his soul, for whatever reason, and thus his body was in a coma of some sort. Dead also works. It's kinda hard to tell at this point.

Oh god that pic! I really hope this means Claude and Alois will be back!! I'm gonna have to go with Team Ciel too but mmmmmm Claude.

I don't think they'd replace Maaya, I mean wed seen something about it, I'm with Kanon its probably just cuz Ciel hasn't spoken yet.

Well, that was amazing. Was the first season as wild as that? I didn't get very far into it. Nana-chan did a great job of the psycho little b. Sakurai Takahiro was good. OnoD maybe better.

Finally watched the sub. Wow, that Alois sure is a spoiled vicious brat, but I kinda like him in a weird sorta way. Claude on the other hand is pure awesome. That table setting was pure ninja quality, I mean come on, the level of awesomeness of that scene was really over 9000, as one would expect from a high class refined butler. Classy. Looking forward to more butler fights!

Btw, is anyone doing gif avatars from 1st ep? I'd like to request one.

Yeah i quite like Alois (not when he's taking out his frustration on poor Hannah though). I'm interested in that wounded side of is, which i'm sure we'll see more of it.

It was good with the new pair, though the second Sebastian appeared at the front door i couldn't care less about them . He totally stole the show from that point onwords. Especially with his fantastic "No, it's to early for that." line regarding his quote.

Woah! That's about as shocking to me as the trolling was. It made sense now that I went back and listened to the Hannah scenes, but during the first watch I'd suspected I just didn't know the seiyuu. Thanks for pointing it out.

On top of doing plenty of other things right, this season is also giving us great seiyuu work. Nana's strong point isn't exactly her acting, but she is shining here. And this was Aya abuse by Nana, in the end... some people probably enjoyed that too.
