to expand on my complaint against Hobbysearch. Both Items were order at the same time. Item 1 was rls 2 weeks before Time 2. At the time Item 1 was both items were show in stock. The reason Hobbysearch gave was because Item 1 was rls in Jan and Item 2 was rls in Feb. Even through both Items were in-stock at the same time. Item1 was ship out first seperate form item2.

Looking for some help getting into...
Resin Kits. Recently I've been getting more and more interested in assembling and painting my own resin kits, but am I'm not really sure where to start once I actually buy a kit. Should I get an airbrush? What kind of glue should I use, will a normal xacto knife be good enough to cut the excess resin?
If anyone has any tips I'd appreciate it.

Resin kits - as in models? There's an anime figurines thread here where a lot of people knowledgable about model kits and such seem to hang out. They mostly showcase their figures, but I think they discuss some things as well. One member has his own website, and his Tutorials section might be of interest to you. Asking questions in that thread or on his website might get you some good responses. Hope it helps!

Words fail me.
Higher quality niconico version: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm2380489 The "Twilight" song by ELO is definitely fitting as it was the theme song for the hit J-Dorama Densha Otoko. |

Dunno if this is the right thread but I have a couple of questions in regards to PVC figurines. I recently noticed that on some of my figurines paint on parts of the hair is lighter and some seem to be fading a little(not sure about this) dunno if that is normal. I started out using a cloth to dust my PVCs off but then switched to compressed air but thought that might be unsafe. I currently use a brush. Can someone please tell me if the paint problem is normal and is it good to use a paint brush to dust them off. I heard that some people use an "airbrush" to touch up their figures and models. How does an airbrush work? Where can I buy one and how much does it cost? Is there I guide that can help me keep my PVCs in good condition? Also is there a guide that teachs me how to use an airbrush? I don't want to mess up my PVCs but was wondering if it was even a good idea to use an airbrush. If this is the wrong place to post this can someone point me o the right thread?
Thank you. |
