So that girl that was in love with Welkin married the one that was gonna give her the roses after Welkin turned her down eh? I was thinking she will show up later in the story and form a love triangle or something, but I guess not

When up against someone like that, you don't want to do anything rash at all, not like what you usually see in anime. Even when they don't know what Selvaria is capable of, the fact she doesn't bat a eye lid when a gun is pointed at her, you know she's outta your league. plus as typical anime law when one glows again you know damn well not to mess with em

Not in a full circle, mind you, just getting around her enough to pump him with some bullets.
I was thinking about something like that: (excuse my sorry ability to utilize MS paint) ==> ---- Well it's possible there are legends or myths floating around mystifying and exaggerating the capabilities of Valkyrur ,and that's why they didn't dare to try attacking them (which of course contradicts how surprised Faldio was), combining with the general mentality not to kill anyone, who's not attacking them aggressively. But I find it kinda meh, that they just let the Enemy country's prince walk out freely and just stand in a complete paralysis. Especially they didn't even move an inch, while Maximilian and Salvaria went outside, went in the canyon, waited on the tank, boarded the tank, commanded the tank to destroy the temple. In the meantime them three are just waiting on the exact same spot for something to happen? :/

The hanging around bit was silly yes, but the fact of the matter is that Selvaria could have far more easily slaughtered the three than they could harm Max.
So which is siller? That they didn't try to take him out, or that she didn't take them out? |

Oh wow, my favorite episode so far, and to think that my expectations of this series were going down the drain based off the preview. I'm happy that I was proven wrong. Finally, an episode that dug into Welkin's past a bit.
One thing though: Spoiler:

Even if she could not take them out she would stop Faldio and Welkin to give Max enough time to escape. Sad that they did not show Selvaria with her lance and shield in these scenes. This would make clear how strong her open powers as a valkyrur are.
