The beam claw IIRC is used only once.... in the anime, which bring further question of WHY?!

In TLR Stratos though, Ichika does not have his Yukihira after the first shift, he transform it into Anime!Setsura, which annoy Houki but made Chifuyu secretly proud. Ichika relied on his fist than sword in this one.

Assuming you use 'advanced medical tech' excuse, make it 1/2 week coma + 1 week recovery treatment.

When in close quarters do you use the

a. Claw weapon you can use to stab the guy right in fron of you.

b. The long Katana that takes effort to swing.

Ichika, being the genius that he is, obviously chooses B.

Sounds fair. The shrapnels didn't get even near his heart or head since they both got blocked by the arms when the explosion occured.

Setsura is stuck to his left hand and won't come off. He's dual wielding it whether he wants to or not. Judging from LN art, he can't use it for normal manipulation of objects either. In the anime, he only swings Yukihira with one hand after entering second shift.

That's why I asked if it would be significant for Setsura to be able to come off.

Well I did say it'll come handy (pun intended?). And Then you bring extra sword... which makes it significant. And assuming you use big-fucking Setsura in the novel version, that's even more significant.

Though in the novel, IChika sealing it. I don't know whether he just cut of the power flow from the frame, or outright meant sealing it as data, which mean technically it's not so much removable as it's SUMMON-ABLE like equalizer if the sealing protocol is removed. (like ZIP or RAR)

I assumed he cut the power flow. And possibly sealed the program that controls it so the energy flow completely bypasses it. It would take a bit of time even for IS' main computer to reactivate... oh say 2 seconds?

Teleport?

My fanon has no teleporting I.S. until Lala upgrade hers using Warp-kun's wormhole technology.

It has 50 light-year maximum range per jump, but inaccuracy (about 1 per 500, meaning if you used it for 50 LY jump, you might end up anywhere within 0.1 LY) made it a risky thing to be used that far unless she used a specific jump points

He can only teleport when the swords are split and only to the location of the other sword. He can also do the reverse. So he can:

A) throw the sword at someone. Let them dodge, teleport to the thrown sword, proceed to own.

B) throw sword, it hits. He teleports the sword back to himself along with the skewered victim. Proceed to own.

range is not yet set or tested yet.

And he has to hold one of the swords to do so. Since technically, it's the swords that teleport and whatever they're attatched to is just taken along for the ride.

It happened in cliffhanger of old TLR Stratos actually, her reason? She wanted to change the world... again. Speculation can be anything, and the current assumption of the characters except for Chifuyu is Tabane manipulate the world to her wish via the monopoly itself.

Tabane can have any reason to just hand out IS cores. Though the closest I can think of is this. She's bored. The whole world is boring. By handing out IS cores, things would heat up. Whether it changes for better, for worse. Since she doesn't like or dislike the current world anyway.

@Jak: some girls are into those kind of guys. In anime it's been done and I can tell that they have possibility to attract bishoujo types despite not being bishonen types.
