Welcome to the discussion thread for Utawarerumono, Episode #26. The final episode.

*sniff* *sniff* It’s over.

Since ADV Films have licensed Utawarerumono (to be known as the "Shadow Warrior Chronicles") AnimeSuki will no longer list torrents for it. In addition, the following posts are no longer allowed:

Asking where you can find Utawarerumono downloads.
Providing links to Utawarerumono downloads.
Discussing Utawarerumono fansub groups (past or present).
Asking for help downloading Utawarerumono.
Asking for playback help for Utawarerumono episodes.

With just under 24 hours to go before the series finale, let's post our anticipations, our wants, our questions that we'd like answered before Utawarerumono concludes. I'm personally expecting a lot of these things to happen:

- Another vision which will explain Mutsumi, the red blobs, and the medallion Eruruu wears on her hair
- Dii's gonna get all speechy mid-battle, explain the origins of his powers, and justify his actions in his glorious yet nonchalant manner (see RPG Rule #181)
- Plenty of rock throwing
- Eruruu's going to sing...again
- A lot of tears

Then again, it could just end up being an episode of gargantuan fisticuffs (just like episode 20, 22, 24. Hey, all even numbered shows!) with very little to do with explanation (in which case, #182 would apply here). I dunno if episode 26 can crush my heart and move me to tears with the time allotted, but if it can, it's high points. I wasn't that emo when Teoru died in 11, but plenty tearful in 4, so I know this show can do it.

Don't disappoint me, OLM.

I can't recall Erurru sing before. I do agree with you one most your point about what I would like to see happing in this episode.

He probably means 'rock-throwing' as in 'titans flying around due to gigantic blows and crashing into mountains, etc' or possibly 'titans chucking rocks at each other'.

Looks like they sticked to the game ending, eh, Zaris? I didn't see any rock-throwing in the scshots; I expected more time allotted to action but I guess they went for the

I want an all out knock-em dead battle btwen hakuoro and dii plus I want some explanation to what the heck is going on with the weird flashbacks, Ive read some stuff but I still dont get it....

I want closure, so many anime endings dont give closure, I dont want to scream, WTF was that at the end of it XD

Game ending, eh? Well, it's not like you can entertain the crowd with 10-12 minutes of colossal mashing and bashing. I figured since 25 that they were allotting time to the epilogue portion of the game.

Not going to spoil myself yet! I'll watch it once I get the opportunity. If I know what's going to happen, I'll lose the emotional impact. I want to cry!!!!! = [

Spoiler: Apart from the battle, it seems that there is also the much-awaited flashback arc explaining how the world came to be and what happened to Mikoto - as well as why there is a dark version of Hakuoro-beast. And it looks like Amaterasu is shown, too. Alright, to sum it up, it seems (based on my knowledge of the game's ending) that they followed the game, especially with the parting of the cast... Spoiler for epilogue: Yuzuha's grave (it looks like she died from natural causes) visited by Oboro and his departure with the twins for a long journey... Benawi possibly taking up the position as emperor after Oboro declined it... Touka and Karura journeying together a bit like wandering dispensers of justice... Eruruu going back to a village as a doctor like her grandmother... Urutorii becoming head of Onkamiyamukai and letting Kamyuu enjoy her youth with Aruruu...much to Munto's anguish... Hakuoro being sealed but possibly coming back at the very last second of the ep, although it's not shown...just like in the game (it's just hinted)... Kuuya still in her childlike state...
