Volume 1 came out at the end of November. I ordered mine through my local Kinokuniya so I wouldn't have to pay for shipping.

Mostly entertaining show. It was sort of like Queens Blade with less plot and more censorship. Kanetsugu was awesomesauce.

did you really mean that Queen's Blade has more plot than this?

I'm the first to admit that the plot of Hyakka Ryouran is no-masterpiece, but less than QB? a bit far-fetched, I'd say...

lol, well they were pretty close in terms of plot, i.e. a bunch of hot girls save the world. I guess it was the character depth that made QB seem like it had more going on in the plot department.

I am also of the opinion that QB had more plot and character development. On the other hand, the art and direction here was better, storytlling though ... blah

And since I remembered it, has anyone found out who KOBUN (the pseudonym of the director) really is

This may create some dissent, or agitation but....I wasn't at all satisfied with the last episode of this series.

Did anyone else feel this way? The last episode just seemed like the production teams airing time was wearing out or something so they just crammed a bunch of action scenes that were seemingly rushed.

There was a bunch of yelling, and the characters didn't seem to stay consistent with their personas.

I have to admit though, the artwork was very visually appealing and was a relaxation from the typical artwork anime generally heads into. Lots of paintbrush schemas. It only takes a glance to notice how much work went into this series to create the vivid scenes of a samurai-filled Japanese world.

You're not alone, bud. All I can say is, the ending left much to be desired, and it covers a wide range of topics, such as closure, the coverage and non-coverage of particulars, pacing, etc. I can't seem to find anymore words besides "much to be desired", really it was the first thing that popped into my mind once it all ended, and it's the only thing that occupies my mind when the ending is brought into question.
