I'd say DVD material, or maybe from the next episode. Pretty big failure to put something like that in a preview.

The issue isn't really the pacing or the drama. It's the quality animation (or rather QUALITY animation and complete lack there of) and horribly disjointed writing. Characters jumping around the room, changing motivations and emotions on the drop of a dime, etc. Almost like you were flipping through a novel and reading selected pages as you went.

that is troubling, but at the same time it could be something minor as they having opposite opinions on how to deal with neeba. at this point they would just be trolling us if there's no jilxkaaya ending.

IMO, the only true troll endings would be jilxcoopa or jilxhenaro. Would've included Ahmey, but she's rather deceased.

Is gonzo following the novels or they are heving original material? Who does Jil end with in the novel?

IT is most likely one of them want to kill Neeba and the other doesn't. It will be insteresting to see
who still think that Neeba can be saved. Two posibilities, Kaaya has developed feelings for Neeba and still think he can be saved, or Kaaya knows that Neeba can't be saved. The prophesy of Kaaya dying, she was shot by an arrow and we know that the archer was not Gil.

Because apparently, life sucks for him, so what better way to make things better then screwing over everyone he knows multiple times and commandeering a giant cannon to get back at the Gods?

His motivations aren't really touched on very much, but I think it can be implied he has a serious complex with regards to Jil given Succubus's prodding of him this episode and the flashbacks to their father and the roper dance.

What I'm wondering if it's Neeba as the final boss or Succubus. Succubus is clearly linked to Druga being his former lover, and it's no coincidence that Neeba is developing Druga arms now. Her motivations haven't been touched on at all, and her presence just seems all too suspicious.

Lol, I highly doubt it. The anime would have shown hints if the Succubus and Fatina were linked. Anyway, any feelings that Fatina had left for Neeba died when she was flushed again out of the tower. Plus, it does not help Neeba chances for survival for the finale when he has the succubus clinging to his leg like an obedient animal.
