Thanks, I am actually focusing on text and colors in all my sigs. Considering I'm a little colorblind, I never know what color they are XD .
Text is a small problem sometimes but I try.

Ludwig van Beethoven was deaf but still managed to compose beautiful symphonies. A little colorblindess is no obstacle =)

I like keeping my text simple, after all simplicity is beauty.

My original version to the SOTM. I discarded it because it's hard to see that is it about music. I instead made it my normal signature. I am extremely satisfied with the lines around his arms, they turned out very nice:

Well, I LOVE your current signature. I think it's good that you changed up your entry, but I still really dig the effects of it. The lines around his arms like wonderful and I just really like the style and feel of the whole thing. Great job ax.

Your sotm entry is also a refreshing difference to the "normal anime" entries usually present. You and Icy are digging those arrow brushes, eh? Anyways, I like the lighting and I look forward to seeing more works from you

Thank you. I wanted to show my addiction to the trance scene with that one :3

I try (most of the time) to differentiate myself from other entries. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, but it gives more variety nonetheless.

The arrow brushes was an addition I added after the second version. It looked rather empty but I didn't want to slap something random on, so I went with the next best that actually fit with the signature.

Love the Sotm entery! I am also considering something non-anime for the render but im not quite sure If I should, since anime would appeal to the majority lol.

I'm glad some more go from the default. It's not all about winning either, I just like to bring some diversity into the SOTM. The biggest part of the contest is to show off what you can do imo.
Usually those who win either has a very good animation or a very known render (or very good sig, I am not implying anything). I know the SOTM 2 times ago when I got lots of votes because I had a Touhou render.
Sure, it's up to people how they vote, but it's a little disappointing.

I assume you are wondering about the thing on the right, and you are correct, it is a part of the render (except the lines ofc).
