And they even showed them how to do it... Subaru`s breaking of Thoma`s Divider and Thoma`s cutting the Forteress to pieces...

Yeah, I kinda am, given the events that transpired in 6 and 7 and the many hours of being in a coma and intense rehabilitation that happened off-panel. And Signum being a different character from people who have done that.

I mean, did Nanoha decide to befriend Quattro after all the shit she pulled? No. The only interaction Signum has with Cypha is her being a horrible bitch, same as there.

The difference between Nanoha and Quattro was that Nanoha was never a horrible bitch.

Signum, once upon a time, was a horrible bitch too who killed people. There's nothing here that says she can't sympathize with Cypha's situation, even if she doesn't condone it.

Vita was a horrible bitch who punted Nanoha nearly into a coma. Look how that turned out. Seriously, the only reason Quattro wasn't befriended was because Quattro chose to say no and stay a bitch (and even to most of her family she was a bitch. Bitch-lite, but still not a really nice girl. She saw most of them as tools), since we know Cypha can be nice, shes a potential befriending target same as anyone.

I was talking about Signum, not Vita. And yeah, she was certainly the most rude and antagonist of them, which still carried into her role as a good guy somewhat, but she didn't do anything villainous besides trying to beat up the protagonist. If that was all Cypha did with Signum, I'd have far less of a problem with her.

Does that other girl really look like Saber? I didn't really see it - that might have been because of Not!Vivio though.

We knew the Hucks were villains right from the start. We also knew they were going to get befriended the moment Stella popped up. We also know that having a kill count does not disqualify you from befriending (even if you won't accept the Wolkie kill count, there's still Cinque).

Yeah no. In that first fight, Vita was about to kill Nanoha, rule or no rule. Nanoha was already down for the count; she could've easily called in the others to harvest her Linker Core. But no, she was lifting up a spiked weapon again to strike her again.

Over a friggin' hat.

And look how she turned out. Cypha's in that same boat.

Yup, while Signum was indeed a cold blooded killer, she was never a bitchy character like Cypha. Even Vita has more logical reasons to be like that than eye-patched psycho.

Vita near-killed Nanoha(and we didn't even know how that would be turned if Fate wasn't appeared, maybe Vita's comrades themselves would stop her from killing Nanoha, remeber that Signum and Shamal entered the scene very shortly after that) because she lost control of herself after seeing the gift of the most important person to her being destroyed by her prey. That don't justify her behavior by any means but still makes much more sense than Cypha's "lol, i'll kill you cuz i'm awesome" behavior xDU

Vita was rude cause she was a traumatized child-like girl holding deeply on the object of her affections. Cypha was a bitch just for the hell of it and also to leave the message of "we rulz, you suck, lol".

That and the fact that Signum is really bad at befriending xDU The last time she attempted to do that ended up with her spine snapped on a hospital bed. And the time before that the "soon to be friend" died on her hands xDU

Signum needs to attend an intense befriending course with Nanoha to learn how it's done, it worked wonders for Subaru and Teana xD!

And now, the traditional half-baked summary of Ch. 21 xD!

Spoiler for Alpha, we need teenagers with attitude!:

Chapter 21: Armor Dyne

- The chapter open with Mr. Vandin and his private secretary discussing about the issues with the TSAB mentioning that for now the inspection and interrogation of Vandion Corp. is running smoothly, they stated that while they have the means of making exact replica's of Tohma's Divider-996 those aren't as good as the original and show interes in such Divider being now in the hands of a 15 year old boy. He apparently want's the data of the Divider's origin in order to achieve the perfect reaction.
- He also mentions that the Huckebein isn't as dangerous as the TSAB thinks and that they can be the first vison of the new era of clean power generation. He wants to patent and monopolize said discovery for the company's benefit and mentions that bloodshed and legal disputes cannot be avoided in situations like these. Mr. Vandin then prepares to go on "a date with that girl ...a date that both have been waiting for long".
- Action moves to Section Six where Signum and Cinque intruct Erio, Caro and the Force Trio about the Raptor units that will be part from Section Six. They'll send them to make tests with those in order to make adjustements before the delivery. Cinque request Erio and Tohma to take care of the girls xD.
- On the move the kids talk about the Raptors, according to Tohma some units had been used on Vaizen HQ, 12 Raptors has been entered official service at the moment. Lily implies the Raptors makes some people nervous while Tohma says their appearance makes them look effective(dunno with that helmet xDU).

-Cover Pic with Erio adn Caro says: "Special Section Six finally with new and reliable equipement!?"

-They are now on Caledfwlch Techniques Main Office in Mid-Childa. Lily and Isis are amazed while Steed explains that CW is a very famous company that have products on all places in Mid-Childa from magic appliances for domestic use to high-competent magic artifacts, most of Steed's parts are also produced by CW(is Steed doing product placement xD?). The kids comment on the irony of CW being so proficient in the use of magic while making non-magic weponry now xDU. Steed furthers the irony by commenting that despite CW's reliability the TSAB, for some reason, never consummend their products until now.
- Erio adds that the developement of the Raptors unit is an attempt to change said situation and make the two organizations able of mutual cooperation from now on and that's why one of the conditions is that the new equipement and prototypes must be used by Section Six(so yeah, Hayate is now running a guinea pig unit xDU). Caro impplies that she and Erio have been on the buildsing several times now and have been treated really good on their visits xD.
- They get reunited with Mariel Atenza who seems to be good friends with Steed, Mariel shows them the six units asigned to Section Six so far. Mariel claims that they're "very competent kids". Mariel asigned Erio and Tohma to test the Raptor units with cinque as an advisor while she and Steed take care of the analysis. Caro, Isis and Lily are assigned to greet the CW peaple and finish the application details.
- The girls are then itnroduced to three Raptor units who greet them, Isis is surprised by their strong appearance. They insist on being called simply "Raptors" despite Lily's attempt of callin them "Raptor-san" xD
- Caro and the Raptor units state that they work under a single mind with multiple bodies(this means whatever a single unit sees, hear or detect is shared by the other six units), each body have the ability to develop some degree of individual self-councsiousness to accomplish certain descicions or tasks but they're ultimately the same being. As such they prefer to be called by sortable names like "Raptor-1" and the such. Even then Lily insist on christen each unit with a different name xDU. The Raptors can only admit customized names from someone with a certified ID.
- The Raptors will be the Kid's apprentices for now so Isis calls them their "Kohais" xD
- Meanwhile, Erio and Tohma battle against the other three Raptor units while being surveilled by cinque, Mariel, Steed and that long-haired woman scientist from CW. they comment how the Raptors ahve been developing now having more fluid moves and being able to use the War Hammer and Strike Cannon proficently. The CW Lab woman seems a bit dissapointed of Tohma since she had great expectatives about his performance while the poor kid is all tired now xDU. Cinque chastises Tohma by pointi the fact that Nanoha can hold the Strike Cannon with he rthin arms and hold the fortress at the same time, Tohma complains about being compared with "The Ace of Aces"(it's your destiny kid xD!). Tohma's pride ignites and reassure Ciqnue he'll do better after taking a little rest, Cinque authorizes him to use his reaction then xD.
- Tohma puts into his Black Knight suit to defend his reputation(in his own words xD).
- On Section Six, Subaru and Wendy chats about Tohma's test against the Raptors and how the latters have still a long way to be compared with the "Mage Killer". Also on how surprised they are to hear the girls get along well with the Raptors and that Lily have come up with individual names for all six units xD. Wendy mentiond the Raptors will be delivered during midnight on a transport vehicle.
- Subaru mentions something about wanting to see "Alto's new design" apparently Alto will come this month to section six.
- Back on CW, Tohma comments how impressed alto will be be with the Raptors since she likes mechanics very much, Isis and Lily asks how he know of her and Tohma tells she's an old friend of Su-chan. then the Book of the Silver Cross announces an urgent communication confirming the sender as Cypha of Huckebein...
- Cypha greets Tohma in a polite way, tohma is surprised after Cypha reveals she knows about the delivery of the Raptor units and warns him that those will be stolen by a hostile group the have been investigating for some time called "The Grendel Family" it's a small group that have been terrorizing various worlds with their acts of violence. However, Cypha implies that only recently their members have been infected with the Eclipse(Vandin?). Cypha says she have her own bussiness with the Grendel family ad plans on caouse troubles to them during the robbery. tohma worries about Cypha fight alone against them but Cypha tells him the plan is to be hidden until all of them are reunited.
- Isis calls on Cypha for implying she's requesting help, Cypha teases her a bit calling her a flat girl, but the eye-patched menace quickly brushes off that possibility, The Huckebein in fact only expect the TSAB to stay quiet and not interfere.
- Cypha then warns "Tohma and 4th" about an oncoming crisis that will affects the Zero Drivers and their Strosek Reactors(interstring how Cypha refuses to call Lily by her name). Cypha warns Tohma that he lacks the experience necessary to fight against other "Mage Killers" and that such experience will never be obtained by training with public organizations since killing is outlawed.
- Tohma thanks Cypha for the info but also apologizes since as an official of Section Six is his duty to report the content of the message to his superiors. Cypha is unfazed by that, sayinf that the Huckebein wants the TSAB to surveill the fight with the Grendel family anyway. Then Cypha let's her inner smug snake to resurface again and taunts Tohma by claiming the TSAB can make an attempt to capture her if they want but they must be have mentally prepared to kill in order to do so. Adn with that Cypha ends her message.
- The Silver Cross identifies the source of the message as somewhere near the "Canes Street", Lily says that's on the way to Karedo-san's house(how is Karedo.san xD?).
- Isis quickly rushes over tohma and attempts to dissuade him to go in search of Cypha, tohma confesses he's tempted to do so since she still feel gratefull to her. Isis claims that it's exactly what the Huckebein family wants him to think and his feelings towards them can affect his descicions. tohma understands and reassures Isis that he's gonna report the information instead since he doesen't want to put her in more troubles and being need of being rescued again.
- Signum and a number of TSAB officers are running an opperative to make a safe transport of the Raptor units, the blazing General is surprised of how quickly things have turned like this.
- Tohma ask Signum abot the worries he have about "his informant". Signum says to him that he musn't be indulgent and have to leave aside his personal feelings reassuring him that thre's no doubt they're dangerous criminals. The delivery of the Raptor units is the main rpority for now...
-But Signum promises tohma that she'll "deal" with "his informant" if she can "convince her". Tohma thanks Signum, Isis is angry at Tohma and Lily hopes things will be fine.
- Erio and Caro consider the Raptors their new comrades and are determined to protect them.

Maybe an Eclipse combat-grade taser is far above a civilian/police grade one, just as you aren't supposed to use civilian-grade rounds for military action.

But i agree with you that Signum should think her approach to Cypha very carefully, she must be aware by now that approaching Cypha with an "let's be freinds xD!" attitude more likely will end with another divider on her guts xDU

One of the very last things i think could be cool for a rematch is that Signum, now councsious of Cypha's level of threat as also her seemingly immortal body, pull out all the stops and fights Cypha with a true killing intent. She know already that Cypha can withstand that and much more.

I'm sorry Justin, I really don't see how Signum meant to slaughter Cypha when she says to 'deal with her'. It's more like stating a fact: Depending on the situation, if we can convince Cypha then everything's fine; if not I'll fight her and keep you guys out of the way. It is definitely not the 'I'll kill her' kind of tone (I've read the chapter, just clarifying).

^ Yeah, i know, specially since Tohma is worried for her, that's enough for Signum to reconsider things. And that plays into Cypha's advantage cause as she said, you must be prepared to kill if you're going to face her in battle, otherwise you'll end like ...well... like Signum. Oh the irony xDU
