edit: Saw episode 4. It gets pretty graphic. Episode ended in a cliffhanger. The story will continue in episode 5.

This episode was a bit different from the previous three. The Sibyl system isn't being questioned in this one, and the case is a lot more complicated. I was surprised the man battling Kogami in the prologue appeared already, I thought we'd have a lot more stand alone stories before diving into the main plot.
Anyway, this was definitely interesting. We don't know much about the criminals' motivations yet, but I'm getting the impression they're trying to overthrow the system (or is that just because I saw that guy reading a copy of 1984?). Spookie Boogie (aka Kirino) was a known anarchist and while it's not clear where Talisman stands, he seems to have a lot of influence on the interwebs and can therefore be used for their purpose, whatever it really is. To be continued in the next episode. On to the main cast. Akane was trying to understand Kogami better in order to get along with him, but Masuoka warned her that if she ever does, then her psycho-pass will be as high as his. Forshadowing much? I still stand by my theory Akane will become an enforcer at the end of the show. PS: Akane's avatar was really cute. Can they make any more moe than she already is?

Akane has developed a fascination with Kogami.
That guy is pretty observant and really good at his job. It's no wonder she interested. The Hayama case was ok, but their first and second case were better. I like hands on approach better. This online community-boards-avatars thing was so-so.

Poor Spooky Boogie :\,
I'm surprised the detectives didn't offer her "real-life" protection when she agreed to help them out. That's typically the normal thing you'd do in case anything goes wrong imo.

It was an alright episode. I suppose this is discussing anonymity and how there really aren't IRL consequences for things that happen on the internet. Having someone act as some sort of policing squad is fairly interesting.
I guess the issue I'm having with the show is that it has been fairly low key so far and nothing has really kicked off or gone into high gear. |

Wow, so the plot has thicken. They are finally dwelving into a major storyline, and the new antagonists seem to be quite the masterminds. This seems like it will be quite a challenge for our protagonists.
I've been wondering. Why don't they have Psycho-pass detectors everywhere in the city? If they are already playing Big Brother, might as well go all the way.

Fantastic episode, even if it was weird to see half of it take place in that virtual reality network. The look and feel of that world felt so at odds with what we've seen of the real world so far. Interesting that for some reason, the net still seems to be mostly unfiltered and unrestrained, despite the surveillance that has come to dominate the rest of society in this setting.

Akane fked up I don't think the other knew about the cooperation from SB, they might've thought Akane managed to grab the intel elsewhere instead of actually discussion with SB.
