They're acquainted with each other but not friends. L Elf sees A drei more as a tool for his prospects. By just looking at them, both are ostensibly frank and seeking benefits from each other as somewhat pretentious friends. They're apt to kill anyone whoever gets in their way until they cry their sorry eyes out and start eating flesh. XD L Elf is a lonewolf after all, but, I think, he sometimes feels that a part of him is missing--his other half.

Who will eat this share of my eggs?

The 2 on the top is the main protagonist for the alternative world of Valvrave spin-off, Valvrave The Liberator Undertaker where it centric around Valvrave-02. The bottom one is a new character I think.

There is a translation going around that they will be included in the new season and that the novel is just a way to introduce them and how they play a part in the main story. No actual confirmation of this yet. But apparently the details are in the magazine/novel where the new blonde character is. But we wont get the details yet since this a leak I think.

Actually Kyuuma and Aina already stolen the cover spot for volume 4

I guess they view as the least important (and possibly most expendable) of the Valvrave pilots.

That is unless he's on the cover for Volume 6. Highly doubt it though.
