From the lack of space, I assume Simple 1 and Klashikari was in a dead heat for a few hours when you decided to extend the voting time. But yeah, those were good sigs. The numbers aren't bad at all.

Due to an immediate complaint about the vote results, I have to make an announcement.

Apparently someone felt that my decision to allow Utter_iMadness's vote (shown on the forums as one minute past the contest closing time) was wrong. So, this would mean that if I had not counted those votes, the results would show Klashikari and Simple 1 in a tie.

To remedy this, there will now be a sudden death tie breaker vote. The first ten votes after this post will decide who wins this contest officially.

Please use this format -

2. Simple 1

Choose one. Original voting rules regarding who is qualified to vote stand. I will not be voting this round to avoid further accusations of bias.

I wish to express my formal and sincere apologies for the premature congratulations Simple 1. But this is the only way to handle this matter without more finger pointing and hurt emotions that people will let get out of control.

I want no discussions regarding this matter in this thread. You can take it to the SOTM Generic Discussion Thread or you can send a message to me privately.

Klashikari has six out of eight votes.
Simple 1 has two out of eight votes.

Even if Simple 1 received two more votes, he wouldn't have enough to overcome Klashikari's lead. So I have no choice but to award the title of winner for the April SOTM to Klashikari.

Congrats Klashikari! Hope you put some thought into possible themes for May!

@BearShare - No. The sudden death is however gets the majority of the next ten votes.
