You misunderstood something.
Alice didn't help Kirito to save Eugeo. It was just the shadow of Alice calling both Kirito and Eugeo to come to Central Cathedral. She said she will wait for them there. What saved Eugeo was Selka's magic and Kirito's willingness to give his life points.

EDIT: Sorry, looks like I am the one who misunderstood the scene. The shadow of Alice did helped Eugeo in some way. However, I think the shadow of Alice was mere remnants of the girl Alice.

The web novel has been taken down from the japanese site due to the print version, therfore not many people have read the web novel but someone may still have a copy of it but it is in japanese, so there really isnt an english web novel unless someone is willing to summerize it.

This is just out of pure curiosity with absolutely zero hidden agenda... But how popular is Sinon among the SAO fanbase?

She ranked #7 in Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2013, Asuna is #2, none of other characters, even Suguha/Leafa made into top 10.

Yes that much I know since I helped posted it It's because of her unexpected entry into the top ten that's why I'm curious.

How popular was she before all that?

Let's put it. She's the one most often shipped with Kirito other than KiritoXAsuna, and yeah, I believe there's quite a prevalence of FPS fans that popped up after she was introduced to the story...

Even though it doesn't seem like she was ever in love with Kirito like the other female characters were.

One of multiple reasons why I like her the best of the female characters.

I can't speak for the whole fanbase but to me personally she is the best SAO character (and consequently, GGO is my favorite arc).

I can't speak for other people either, but I think it might be because Sinon's story was more appealing compared to other heroines': Sinon fought against her trauma and stigma, something that's lacking in other heroines' plotlines. 'Normal'/standard/usual plot of budding romance (Asuna) or heartbreak/blood-relations (Lyfa/Suguha) just can't compare. Let alone the other pairings that pop up from a one-off encounter (Lizbeth, Silica). Alice hasn't developed far enough in the LN version compared to the WEB version, so it's understandable she's not even considered.

Outside stuff related to the girl itself, I personally like GGO arc better than others thus far (Alicization is still being translated, so this might be a exception eventually) because of a competent antagonist operating on the same level as Kirito. ALO's one was just piggy-backing onto the success of another (and really sucked with his own planning), while Kayaba in SAO as GameMaster/mastermind doesn't have that same oppressing feel/urgency as a antagonist. Might just be me though.

Maybe its just me but whil I like the way Alicization is going, I find the idea of fluclights so fantasy like that it takes away the sense of sci-fi for me and makes it too fantasy like. It seems that Reki wanted to create a make a malr companion for Kirito instead of the usual girl, probably to improve his writing range.

Thank for the great summary.

This part just became one of my favourites in Alicization. I just can't stop reading it. Good job Kawahara.

I feel that this part holds much significance in a sense that:

Spoiler for Significance:

These are no longer summaries...but outright second hand translations. Which I love quite a lot. XD
