It's not false advertising since the BD/DVDs will be uncensored.

Ah yeah, sorry, I forgot that the PV extend as far as the DVD/BD, which will be uncensored...I agree with you as well, at least they're doing something different with their ink blots rather than the usual Castform censor using Sunny Day out of nowhere. My favorite is still the one from Ichiban Ushiro no Dai Maou though, each girl has their own and can even adjust itself to fit the current surroundings, it can be pretty cute too...

That's how I feel. I hope it isn't an illusion, or just my liking for Yuuki Aoi coloring my impressions.

Oh yes, I loved the little censor icons in Dai Maou too. That's censorship done well.

Thanks a lot for translating this. This interview was just as enjoyable to read as the last one from the same site (which incidentally was about her role in Dai Maou). Juubei sounds harder to play than I thought. This should be an interesting "test" for Ao-chan.

yea, I remember I stumbled across some of those pics/gifs while checking Hyakka Ryouran threads on 2ch, at the time of the pre-airing premiere, about one month ago.
So if you guys want, there are more of them.

btw, the PVs were actually linked some pages back in this thread, iirc... so, just check back the thread if you're interested.

too bad AT-X is censored too...

I had put my hopes in at-x, but at the same time I had this kind of feeling they were going to broadcast the censored version... and the latter came true.

oh well, COUNTDOWN for the BDs, START!

at least they will come with short-ova specials too! (probably queen's blade/ikki style)

it'll be a long wait, but it's worth it, i guess.

Haha putting aside my love these type of shows, I honestly didn't think much of Sen-hime-sama other than that Minako Kotobuki was her VA, she is actually rather plain in character design but that doesn't mean she's not great in that way. I loved her character design from the get go as I did all of them but I just like some of the other girls more.
But that was just going by looks alone, now it's alot different cause after ep 2 my impression of her changed greatly, she is my 2nd favorite after Gisen(I won't waver on my love for her

)

Plus as it seems to go, Sen-hime-sama brings out the M in Keiko....oh wait I mean Hanzou

Yeah, I sure missed out on asobi ni Ikuyo...

The best thing about the Daimaou censors were that they weren't just 1 icon of each character. Sometimes a different face of that character would be used, making the situation more funnier. Of course, you all know why I didn't like the censors, and for good reason too: My Eiko-chan and Lily-chan didn't have one of their own

This is why I like the work that the voice artist's do for anime, they take thought on personalities and how to portray characters, effectively becoming the character. Great stuff, page saved on my phone, but since I'm not heavily active here reps need to be spread around

Yes, it apparently aired on the 11th on AT-X. I haven't seen that version, but the word I've read is that it isn't uncensored, unlike in some other AT-X rebroadcasts. Maybe they figure it's already ecchi enough, even censored. And of course, Hobby Japan probably wants to encourage people to buy the DVD/BD.

According to Shoboi Calendar, a given episode airs Sundays on tvk and Chiba TV, Mondays on Tele-Tama, Tuesdays on Tokyo MX and TV Aichi, Wednesdays on Sun TV, and then the following Tuesday on AT-X.

EDIT: Oh, sorry. I see what you mean. There are AT-X rebroadcasts later on Monday, and twice on Thursday (the 14th). This is normal for that satellite broadcaster, I believe.

The censors are not some bat out of hell trying to specifically ruin your life. Uncensored versions exist, you'll be able to view them in a few months, and in this show, they're being fairly stylish about it. So many other things to focus on with the show. Worry not about the censors.

Interesting enough she is embarrassed in the ecchi scenes. She does mention that she likes Juubei cute parts. Funny thing is that she likes history yet does not know much about it. Also apparently she takes ethics and philosophy.....interesting choice to say the least. Well she does a good job of voicing Jubei I will give her that compliment.

1. I think being embarrassed by the ecchi scenes shows Yuuki Aoi is identifying with her character.

2. Saying she does well in history and likes it does not mean she has done much reading outside school -- although she did name two people she had looked into particularly. Maybe she's more interested in social history than military history?

3. She's probably in a university program that requires her to take philosophy and ethics in first year, and finds she enjoys them -- but perhaps she is also boasting just a wee bit?

Today in her blog, she talked about having cleared many stages in Pokemon BW White, in great detail ("Zekrom, get!"), and with great satisfaction. She said that as the person who plays Iris, she was not going to back down, and she preferred attack to conservative play. She's smart and active, but I'm not sure I want to think of her as an intellectual just yet, lol.

She has mentioned previously playing a lot of Smash Bros. and Fire Emblem, which I guess sit somewhere in between.

As for ethics, who knows? She is certainly Japanese rather than American. And I suspect, from indications on 2channel, that she may count as a bit of a fujoshi, herself. I just have the impression that she is as much a salty as a sweet person.

Ehh, I thought that when we're actually saying good things about the show it's better to mention the name, so that other people actually knows what the example of creative censorship actually looks like. Don't worry, I haven't forgot to refer to "that show" as such though.

And I agree that for Eiko and Lily to not have their own is really unfair, what's worse is that they instead replaced it with another character's face, if yuo're not going to make a separate censor then just go ahead and don't have it censored in the first place

(although to be fair, there is an uncensored version later on).

Hmm, I wonder if there's any possible way to get the ink blots censor more personalized for each character.....yeah, I got nothing. Again, at least it's better than random thick beams of light.
