Subete ga F ni Naru (Everything Becomes F) [anticipation]

Quote:
Fuji TV programming block noitamina announced during its "noitamina Announcement Conference 2015" that an anime adaptation of Hiroshi Mori's Subete ga F ni Naru (Everything Becomes F, with the subtitle 'The Perfect Insider') novel has been green-lit to premiere in 2015.
Director: Mamoru Kanbe
Studio: A-1 Pictures

Premise/Synopsis:
Quote:
The story of the original novel revolves around Sōhei Saikawa, a member of the Saikawa Research Lab. On a vacation held for the lab, he meets Moe Nishinosono, the daughter of his mentor, who joins the group on their vacation despite not being a part of the lab. After meeting each other, the two end up finding a corpse. The two work together to solve the mysteries of what becomes a serial murder case.

HOLY SHIT WHAT?!??!!
WHY ARE THEY DOING SM WHEN THEY COULD BE DOING V OR G?!?!?

SM's drama's decent I think (rating's pretty bad but not Biblia level <-- actually they're both bad in terms of rating drop, should've checked the later episodes before spewing bs /sigh) ... still hasn't watch episode 6.
Or is this some special thing that's only doing that one book only.

Either way holy CRAP more Mori's always welcomed but whatttttttttttttttttttt?!
I always joked about this getting animated but now that it has happened I don't know why it didn't happen sooner.
Oh well, if this means there's a chance of book 8 animated or filmed in some form I am all for this. Not the best book by any means but it's impossible to do with live action and I thought it was fun

I wiki'd Mori Hiroshi, and it looks like this is his debut novel in 1996, won him a major award, etc etc.

But damn, this guy was a manga artist, a researcher, and an associate professor of engineering.... then declined promotion to full professor and became a novelist? I'd love to see a series about this guy's life, that'd be fun too.

That's one hard Rubik's cube...and I can't even finish basic one.
Murder mystery is something for me.

I doubt you guys can figure it out (yes that's a challenge )! Would be fun to see people try.
If you figured out what F is you figured out half the case for that volume.

Character designs from the game back in 2002.

Full promo message, which I feel is important to understand Mori's creation of his characters.

PS: Every single case in SM is "closed room" for those interested.

Well, I don't know much about original work aside it's same author as "Until Death Part Us" which happen to be one of my favourites manga/manhwa (I don't have clue which way I should call this particumlar work), but mystery animes are too scarce to not be hyped about it.

Yeah for now it's most expected work out there for me.

That's Hiroshi Takashige. Hiroshi Mori is the guy who wrote Skycrawlers.

MorI did wrote also Until death part us, that much is fact. Of course it's possible it's just two works of same name (or Wikipedia failed me and thus it would not be "fact")

Premise is rather intriguing. Only thing that's left is whoever will design the character in the anime adaptation.

If I'm not mistaken about the "S&M" series title in which the original novel comes from, does it refer to something akin to sadomasochism or something?

So that means Kotetsujou no Cabaneli won't be delayed until Winter then.

Besides, this is such a surprising announcement and also the first time Asano's character designs will be animated. Let's see how much will A-1 Pictures will do them.

I've no idea what to think of this, but I just learned that the anime will be written by Ono Toshiya, aka the guy who also wrote Tsuritama and Gatchaman Crowds. For this alone I'll most likely take a look.

Locked room murder mystery's one of my favorite things ever, and not too many of Japanese murder mystery novels were accessible for English-speaking audience (I've only read Shozo Shimada's Tokyo Zodiac Murder and watched the anime adaptation of Mouryou no Hako). No way I'm missing out on this one.

Apparently refers to Sohei & Moe, the two main leads with Holmes-Watson dynamic. No idea if the pun's intentional or not, heh.

...Not sure how I feel. I've seen the drama and I'd say that I was entertained, but I'm not entirely sure if it was for the right reasons.

Also, Moe's design is kind of horrendous to me.

A few of Mori's stories are available in English, though the translations leave something to be desired. I'd recommend, "I'm in Debt to Akki" as the best of the lot.
