I am not very familiar with the franchise but it looks kinda interesting. I'm curious to see how many episodes there will be for this. It looks like studio will be Seven.

I am speechless... Never expected THIS to have an anime.

IMO Rance is simply the best eroge series out there, but would it fit well in anime format?

I guess a single cour should be enough to cover the events of the first game. However, having the H scenes removed would take out half the fun... Not to mention that H scenes sometimes move the plot forward. Of course unless they decide to make it an H anime, which is perfectly fine with me.

The characters will finally have voices.

Anyway, definitely watching.

I know, but it's really short and quite old/dated, not to mention it's an anime original, whereas this comes with modern anime graphics, and it's an actual game adaptation.

If you meant, "MC from romcoms and harems", maybe. But to me, you just described what my moral compass would call, "a scumbag". My tastes would push me toward people like Eikichi Onizuka, Joseph Joestar and Kenshiro.

- That's a very tame description of Rance. I mean, he's an Alicesoft hentai main character. Very talented in leading combat tactics but...not the most morally acceptable of people. I mean seriously, his main goal in life is to bang as many women as he can under any given situation.

The main draw I think will be to actually pull this off as an out-and-out raunchy comedy (EG not like existing harem comedies showing. More like outright slapstick--omaybe bordering on Dokuro-chan levels). I mean that's about the only way you can kind-of pull this series off without actually being hentai.

In a nutshell the series will be: "Rape is comedy as long as it's Rance doing the raping".

Btw, can we get a clarification here if they were actually planning a tv animation or a hentai animation? I still can't believe they are planning a tv show out of Rance. The info on the OP isn't too informative about this.

Rance series takes pride in having no voice over for any of the characters. But obviously that won't fly in anime.
