It's kinda hard to hit people with machine guns from really long range though. But a bullet is a bullet, if it hit's its gona hurt no matter where it's from. My frustration is the knife, I dunno why but seeing the camera switch to the slow view of you being knifed in the throat with absolutely no recourse is very frustrating - I'd almost expect some sort of QT event to be able to fight it off.
Caspian Border is so much more fun the Metro but its bloody huge, can take you a long time to find any action and you can be killed from any angle. I guess Metro is good in how it's focused but 64/64 Caspian is just pure chaos (needs more vehicles in 64/64 imo). It'd be great to have people working together more. Played with a couple friends and we stuck together makes things go much smoother. Had an awesome run today in a helicopter. Was able to provide some decent strafing runs over/around control points just above the tree line, stayed alive longer then most pilots hell even got complimented for my flying. Wish I still had my joystick though, KB mouse is OK but I'd be able to completely nail it if I had my old sidewinder still (used to play Longbow and other helicopter sims all the damn time). Kinda wish that for you to fly the planes or helicopters though, you'd have to 'unlock' them in the SP campaign or in training, to get a licence. Seeing people take off and nose plant the thing straight into an ajacent building is pretty damn facepalm worthy. Seeing someone take off in a helicopter and lose control and slam into a plane that is just starting to take, destroy both of them and block the runway for others to take off is probably the most epic fail of fails I've ever seen. You just can't plan that stuff. Bonus points go to the AA guns, that stuff is just hilarious for mowing through things. Helicopters, planes, jeeps, infantry... good times. (not me, but its cool nonetheless) edit: lol @ that plane video, have seen something like that happen a few times. The rage in chat afterwards is usually quite hilarious.
