Man, the King scene was awesome (as was his moments during chapters 73-74, of course). As I said before, I love how he's able to intimidate those powerful monsters despite being weak himself. I don't really expect him to actually develop superpowers of his own at a later point, but I do want to somehow see him make even a God-class monster piss their pants eventually!

Agreed, in combat ability he's outranked by every hero, even C-class, but his ability to intimidate opponents is above all other characters, just like how Saitama's strength is above all others.

Maybe from Saitama defeating the underground king? He used what looks like lava swords (at least in Saitama's dream), which could have melted the ground. Someone saw melted ground and King, thus 'wave motion cannon' was born?

Wave motion cannon reminds me of that continuous spell card in Yu-gi-Oh!.

Just reading the translation of chapter 83. Can anyone explain to me what the hell is Garou's thinking? I don't understand at all what is his motive about. I understand that the current hero association is quite pathetic. But what is his problem with the whole concept of hero and villain? He is some kind of anti-hero, but I can't really grasp his character.

Essentially he sympathizes with the monsters because they never win. Plus he hates how hypocritical the heroes are. Some of them don't even qualify as heroes (e.g. Sweet Mask). Plus he was forced to play the monster in games as a child while the bullies got to be the heroes. So it warped his perspective.

So he has a rather inflated opinion of how monsters should be, because clearly they can't be as bad as those douchebags, right? He has this whole "noble demon" ideal of how a monster should be.

When in fact most monster really is as bad as it look, misunderstood monster is almost nonexistent here. And no matter how hypocrite the heroes are, they are still protecting innocent. So in essence, Garou is just too caught up in his own self?

I find heroes to be quite normal people with power perks. As normal people they are flawed, hypocrites, arrogant, etc. So they are in a grey area that is quite normal I think.

I've been thinking on a theory a friend of mine brought up yesterday, what if Blast (S-class rank 1) is actually Saitama? The Hero Association was set up by the grandfather of the kid Saitama saved years ago, they could have left the number one spot open for the unknown hero and just given him a name they thought would fit.

That would be kinda cool...what do you guys think?

I think Blast doesn't exist. He's probably just a symbol of hope for mankind so that people never lose hope in whatever calamity they are in.

S class didn't exist at the beginning of HA. It was created when they noticed elite heroes who can defeat demon level monster singlehandedly. I think that crab monster should only be around wolf or tiger level (Saitama wouldn't win otherwise).

Beside, Blast is actual person and the Association know how to contact him. So I don't think he is Saitama.



P.S. Does anyone think that Genos's sworn enemy cyborg he's currently seeking is related to Metal Knight? If I remember correctly, someone told Genos once that Metal Knight is his enemy.

Is Lightspeed Flash's 'normal' speed about as fast as Sonic's ultimate secret skill?
Also noticed that his Wind Blade Kick has the same name and motion as Sonic's, are they both from the same ninja village?

That's probably more related to the fact that Genos is a cyborg and Metal Knight is possessive and affiliated with robotics. He took weapons from that alien ship if I remember correctly. So he may target Genos for his parts should he become more powerful, hence being a threat or "enemy". But he could definitely connected, sure.

I'd like to point out that they have no idea of his power and are genuinely trying to protect him. If they just went "lol, okay Mr B-class, your turn" then they'd be proving everything Garou says.

Heh, that would actually make a lot of sense for them to be from the same ninja clan, in that case. Though at least Flash hasn't deluded himself into thinking he's Saitama's rival, at least.

Yeah, it definitely seems that way.

That other robot S-Class hero (I think he was called Engine Knight or something) warned Genos at the end of the alien invasion arc that Metal Knight was his enemy. We also got an earlier hint of an enemy robot organization at the end of the Hammerhead arc when Hammerhead himself got taken out by a couple robots from whatever group he got those battle suits from. So it looks like that mystery group is definitely being set up as future antagonists.....
