Hey, anyone here in Japan right now? If so then I ask that if you happen to go to either Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, or Shibuya then you look for "THE iDOLM@STER 2" countdown poster that's supposed to be up in each location and get some pics. Apparently with each passing day the idol featured changes.

...stupid BandaiNamco wont even put pics up online. Grr...

*goes back to watching the "Kisaragi" trailer on ep.15* "Arcadia" makes an awesome super-robot theme song. And evil(?) Yayoi is still cute...and Makoto is...Haruka's butler?!

The 765th Space Marine Chapter, or Chapter 765 as it is frequently known, is an unnamed non-codex compliant chapter of unknown founding declared excommunicatus traitoris for their heretical belief in the worship of 'idols', female dieties they claim to be on the same standing as the Emperor himself as his spiritual daughters.

The Chapter itself is a splintered whole, divided into 12 individual "Idol Companies" that revere their own female idol. Each company is autonomous, with their own traditions, battle tactics and even armor colors, and are identified as part of 765 only by their silver trim and markings. While each Company acts upon their own rules and priorities, and at times even come to blows with each other, under the most dire circumstances they can be brought together by the explicit orders of their leader, known only by the title of "Producer".

Pictured below is a Space Marine sergeant of the Minase Company, considered the 'wealthiest' of the 765, with access to coveted relics and venerable artifacts beyond that of the 11 other companies. This headstrong company is known to frequently assist Imperial forces in distress... because they happened to pass by while en route to a current objective, not because they wanted to help or anything. Is frequently in conflict with the Hoshii Company for reasons unknown.

This, is AWESOME! Tsundere Sphess Mahreens? can this really be so? They seem obnoxious when you meet them, yet they constantly dance around from sector to sector, seemingly with no direction in mind to their *objective*, yet always claiming that's their goal.

If not for the Navigators of the Miura chapter* and the MINASE being a bit to obvious in caring about people, some might think they have a bad sense of direction!

*The Miura chapter's navigation skills bear legendary infamy. Unless accompanied by a sister company, they are almost guaranteed to lose themselves some where in the warp, typically ending up on the other side of the galaxy by accident. Miura tactical squads fare no better, being known to drop within a hundred meters of an enemy position, then proceed to wander dozens of kilometers away in vain effort to engage.

The chapter bears substantial luck, since most of the time they end up wandering into the most tactically and strategically sound positions by accident, wreaking havoc on Xenos and Heretic forces alike.

Naturally, the opposite effect must be observed with the Tatsuki legion. The Majority of them are still using the old Mark VI Corvus style *Beaky* armor (and this was only a recent modernization within the last hundred years!).

There are even some who still are wearing Mk V Heresy armor, and at least a handful of examples in the chapter still of pre heresy models!

... alright, Miura Company up next for skins it seems, just because you're totally awesome

Also, you forget that their ships end up on the other side of the galaxy... and that's before going into the Warp

But even when the Miura Barge is in the wrong place, it is at the right time for someone’s benefit! The Emperor Protects!

On Tatsuki Legion, they are however the most numerous of the 765 companies, with a scout detachment as large as the main fighting force.

Also, Minase Company marines have no battle cry. They simply drop out of the Warp, purge the foe, and leave as coolly as they come. In their wake would be a transmission to loyalist forces along the lines of “We’re not in this for you or anything! Don’t misunderstand!!”

Mk.VI Corvus armor for Takatsuki Company. By the Emperor's will be done. *notes*

Miura Company gets Mk.IV Maximus Armor just for being the eldest.

(Btw.. the Ayase?)

....HOW did I not think of that?

Yes. The Tatsuki legion is infamous for their tendency, to eagerly snatch up as many passing recruits as they can...regardless of whether or not they have the resources to eventually kit them out as full battle brothers. Some might question this tendency os over extending themselves, but the Tatsuki legion values every battle brother to the fullest.

I'd say the Tatsuki legion and Minase company Marines recruit from the same hive world. The Tatsuki Marines from the lower, poor hive districts, and the Minase from the elite upper level families. *contributions* from the families that the Marines are recruited from could possibly explain the abundance of Master Craft/combi weapons, artificer armor, and various high class power weapons almost entirely supplanting regular chain swords. The Minase company armory is so overflowing, that even regular Tactical Marines can access custom wargear from it.

Further random partial snippets.

-Kisaragi Marines are known for their ominous siren song that they chant while charging into battle. This song is rift with the power of the emperor, and uplifts the spirits of all faithful, and fills even the most brutal and ruthless Xenos/Heretics with a sense of foreboding and dread. Especially fearful are noise Marines, whose chaotic metal is no match for imperial might made manifest through song.

Ganaha company
-This company is renowned for it's tendency to recruit from Death worlds, boosting a sizable fraction of it's chapter hailing from the dreaded death world of Catachan. As such the Ganaha are some of the most hardcore infantry combat experts in the Imperium. Of particular note is the companies taming of some of the galaxies most ferocious animals, and fighting with them in battle. Ganaha scout training involves heavily around taming some beast, which they will take into battle as a path finding beast to guide them to the enemy and away from danger.

The beast master squad is a group of elite Veterans within the company, whose mastery over animal is legendary amongst death worlds. On their home planet this cadre cares for an entire Beasterium of the galaxies most dangerious creatures collected from across space. In battle, the Beastmaster squad has been known to fight along side Catachan devils, or even tamed Ork Gargantuan squiggoths armored in Marine heldary and weapons.

Amami company
-...what can I say? It's cute when a 5'2, 101 pound is a little big clumsy and stumbles a bit (maybe) but it's NOT kawaii when it's a 7'6-8'0, 1000 pound armored super soldier This chapter is on good relations with the Kisaragi chapter, but there is some in joke going on between the to that will have the Kisaragi's randomly burst into laughter at odd moments when together with the Amami's.

Futami company
-Relatively standard company with a pair of twins as their divine banner maidens. As such, the Chapter maintains that they will only recruit identical twins with their ranks. As such, battle pairs within the couple bear a high degree of almost telepathic coordination, fighting in perfect synchronization regardless of the distance.

Amami Marines may trip up ever so often, but their optimism never falters, no matter what. And they get the job done, one way or another.

I can hardly imagine what Ritsuko marines are like... Megane or optical implants? Advanced Combat Tactics to the level of God of War?

Though imagining Producer-san as a Primarch makes me Lol.

Yes, but I think you're missing the practical ramifications of being around someone who weighs half a ton and has a tendency to trip

How about this.

Kikuchi company
-Compose of beautiful, androgynous looking men, which many at first may assume the company are beautiful warrior women much to the company's anguish. Just like their idol who wanted to become a beautiful woman due to her tomboyish looks, the Kikuchi company are made up of beautiful looking men who wish for the galaxy to not mistaken as women but men. Known for their chivalry, protecting the weak and expert hand to hand combat, the Kikuchi company's beautiful looks have won them many female admirers from not only from within the Imperium forces but also from Xeno/Heretics as well. So powerful is their beauty that a powerful Chaos sorceress of Slannessh surrender herself to the company's Captain saying: "I thought Slannessh was my greatest love and beauty but now i realize i was wrong as my beauty is now standing in front of me." There was even a story how an Eldar Seer went to war against a Dark Eldar Witch as both of them fell in love with a company Sergeant.

Yet at the same time, the company is hated by jealous lovers and exes within the Imperium. They were so hated that the Inquisition once try to order a purge against them only for the entire Sisters of Battle threatening the Inquisition to not hurt "The Emperor's Beautiful Holy Sons".

Hmmmm. Isn't that just the Pretty Marines? (well, minus the HTH combat capability)

There IS something silly about 8 foot androgynous looking super soldiers though.

Do Approve

The Kisaragi Company are also known as perfectionists, dedicating their every waking moment to training themselves in the art of chants and battle. While they are seen as the coldest and most distant of the Idol Companies, their devastating effectiveness in combat is unquestionable. Efficiency and Precision that even Eldar envy is the Company's hallmark in the field.

Addendum:

Despite 765's rogue status, the Ganaha Company still maintains and enjoys close relations with the Space Wolves and the Salamanders. Both Chapters consider the Ganaha company as foster Battle Brothers, and Ganaha Company Marines have been known to use gifted Space Wolf Runic Armor and Wargear.

I got a better idea:

The Amami Company is considered the most "normal" of the Idol Companies, which along with the Akizuki Company are the only ones who follow the combat doctrines of the Codex Astartes. The Company is perhaps most notorious for their frequent "accidents" in combat ranging from misplaced plasma ammunition unwittingly detonated in combat to drop pod malfunctions that leave much destruction in their wake. Yet by the Emperor's will, these accidents often seem to be tactically advantageous to the Company, those same mishaps earning them many victories despite the odds. (Hero of the Imperium Commissar Ciaphas Cain has been quoted as mentioning the Amami Marines as "himself reborn as Astartes".)

Another well known trait of the Amami Company is their rock-solid faith and upbeat demeanor, so much so that their very presence is said to inspire much trepidation in the hearts of heretics, and among daemons much fear. The Amami Company is known to have close ties with their polar opposite the Kisaragi Company, and both Companies have been known to work together on several campaigns.

No objection

Below are images of a Miura Company Veteran Sergeant, 2nd Squad. He and his squad was found on Forgeworld Graia cleansing Chaos Heretics, despite their assignment being destined for Cadia. The Veteran Sergeant was quoted as saying, "You mean we're not on Cadia??? But there's more heretics than I could count!"

They may be pretty but their not weakling fancy like the Pretty Marines. Also, despite being best in hand to hand combat and agile, the Kikuchi company is afraid of their good friends, the Hagiwara company, especially if it's about clothes.

I can see that! I think the Ganaha are the only ones who'd get along with the Space Wolves Wolves as much as they do. (And I do remember this 1d4chan story that described in brief the Space Wolves creating a successor chapter that was based around Catachan).

...I think the Takane chapter would impress the Space Wolves to. If for no other reasons, a Takane marine can LITERALLY eat more than their own weight in food without sweating. A bit to poetic and philosophical for the Wolves, but they can't deny that feasting skills!
