as for karin being happy that she was the first he almost went all the way with... yeah he may not want to tell her what happened with Shizuku a while back (that felt even more passionate than this to me). seemed clear they were likely gonna do it then if he didn't ruin the mood. Or with Soyogi climbing naked into bed with him even earlier than that. |

It's possible. So far I think, there is a THEME being established. The next encounter will also end in humiliation and Nagi loading up on self doubt. Possibly to the point of fearing his soon approaching meeting with Shizuku. This could be a repeating cycle of failure, running as long as the author desires. There will have be an event to re-establish his connection to the Dragon God, a seeking of the deity, to re- focus and allow that consciousness to guide him.
So far, that's when this tale has been shining. sorry I haven't kept up on my account. Fear is an ASTOUNDING anti-arrival device. Akin to TERROR. Last edited by crossguy; 2011-09-02 at 23:37. Reason: read comments. |

Although I have grown a bit annoyed of Nagi, I admit that it was nice to see him in a quite serious mode after his mess-up with Karin. It was a welcome change to his usual goofy and similar facial expressions and the more serious look suits him IMHO better, but that might also just be due to the mangaka's drawing style.

Well, not to sound mystical, but the best scenes seem to have that " What Would the Dragon God Do?" feeling. Read chapter 41, It's all about WWDGD. Also CH41 p11 the author flashes back to reference the theme. Don't know if Nagi would wear the bracelet. He sure wants to wear the hat!

Wow. I don't think anyone was expecting something like that to ruin the moment. We all kept to the cliche shonen and here we have something that is natural and realistic.
And I don't think he was premature or anything. He just had trouble getting it in and ruined the mood.

And until you have one of those moments, nobody knows how they will react. Everybody has different expectations - and I mean every body as well. Every guy has a different set of expectations for himself, and if you don't live up to them, life sucks.
This story has such a different tack on male/female relations. I've pretty well seen about every human reaction that I've thought possible in my own relationships, and I'm STILL surprised on a nearly daily basis about how people respond. (in and out of bed) The Author still whacks me, about as often as I read the tale. Art imitates Life, Life imitates Art. |

I actually thought chapter 86 was pretty funny myself ... Soyogi has always been my fave of the three.
Nagi was VERY politic and sensitive with his replies to Soyogi's enthusiasm. And yes ... of course Soyogi is cute!
