So the Zera revelation is finally done and dusted, now I can post here again (I had spoiled myself early on in the arc)

According to the FT-wikia it's going to return to the original story again

Ah, Fairy Tail's 100th episode this week (well, since it's return anyways)

And quite a fitting one too with the birth of Fairy Tail!

I kinda like how they did an overview of the events later. I wonder how the VA thought about portraying Zera's role as well, must of been fun.

Glad you liked the narration, because it confirmed Mavis was declared legally dead (and secretly Lumen Histoire-d) at age 24, and Yuri died when his son was only 4.

At least they fixed this image:

The finale of the Fairy Tail Zero. Mavis' prediction went on the guild not causing trouble fail badly. Anyway, back to the main story next episode.

It really is something though when looking at those dates. Neither Mavis nor Yuri really lived a very long time past the birth of Fairy Tail. Obviously Mavis has a more complex situation, but wow. And yeah apparently only Yuri had enough time and social life to get married . Kind of rough. Had to be some tough years for Warrod and Precht when those two left the stage.

Episode 101:

Natsu's return in year X792 is the coolest moment of the latest episode. Otherwise, this arc has a rather meh start so far imo.

I still think it is quite BS for the guild to be disbanded, after all that had happened. It was just a way for the author to push a sort of reset button. Also, the guild wasn't truly disbanded because they all still had their Fairy Tail mark on them. It would have disappeared if they were disbanded.

Anyway, the story is interesting so far, since it looks like people have powered up besides Lucy, like always. Looking forward to finally seeing Gildarts again. This episode was mostly fanservice.

In the end I did enjoy seeing the focus placed on Lucy and seeing what she's been up to. Kind of a sweet moment seeing that board she had made up of eye-witness accounts and every bit of info she could dig up. Maybe she hadn't gone and gathered everyone up, but she did a lot of leg work in order to make it possible to find them later. Just showed how much they all meant to her.

As usual I have no idea if the people in that world are blind or not. Her sex appeal tactics always fail and yet she's popular enough to be a regular model . Nice to see her work her way up from pin-up girl to reporter.

And of course what an over the top appearance by Natsu. Not sure about having his flames being so hot they melt everything in the radius....going to have to tone that down or else his own allies will just kill him so he stops ruining their outfits. Still, very much a Natsu like way to show up.

Fairy Tail TV anime is ending next week btw.

There's also a new project but with unknown details as of now.

That's because Lucy having no sex appeal is a running joke, not to mention that most of the girls in Fairy Tail (as a whole) could probably work as models :P

As for the new project stuff...I got nothing, guess we'll wait and see.

Well yeah, I know that. But while it's a running joke, it's never quite made sense. Either everyone's perception in that world is messed up and she has no sex appeal or it isn't and she does have it . At this point I just think there is something seriously wrong with a lot of the people in that world .

Wait...what!? We just started a new arc and now they are going to stop? That just feels weird, though I suppose they are going with a "and off on a new adventure they go....bye."

So....back on hiatus again? No idea what the new project is about. Maybe they'll animate some of the spinoffs or side stories and then come back to the main show later once the current manga arc is done?

Makes sense considering how close to the manga the anime is getting. Maybe the new project will be animating the fairy tail spin-offs.

I prefer a temporary hiatus to filler episode hell.

If that filler is based on spin-offs written by Mashima himself (as far as I know, the artists just draw them for him), it may not be so bad.

Wouldn't they keep the name of Fairy Tail if that was the case, though? Shutting it down for a while and picking it back up (Gintama style) means that they have something entirely different to fill in its shoes. Although I personally like all of Mashima's works, I can't help but be interested in this new project thing. Not that two weeks is that far away~

That actually isn't to surprising considering how close to the manga the anime is. I am curious about this new project though.

I do hope they wait until the manga is finished. Will probably do wonders to the pacing.

I doubt they wait until the manga is finished. My bet is they'll wait a year. That should be sufficient to buy them all the time they'll need.

Because that's working out so well for Naruto. But the team behind Fairy Tail tends to be more generous with the filler.
