As a male I feel a little ghey watching this.
But I'm not going to apologize. In addition to the gheyness I feel a little like Jane Goodall must've felt as she was watching the chimps for the first time from her blind in the jungles of Uganda. Sort of like if National Geographic did an episode on girls. Do girls really act that way when alone? If a boy was in the group the whole dynamic would change. He'd interrupt all the time and drop innuendos. So we can never see you in your native habitat. It feels authentic but I would think there would be more drama. Last year Mio and her friend with the hairband got into a fight cause one was jealous. Seems like there would be more of that. |

Awesome episode, then again Azusa is my favourite character.
I wonder how they'll handle all of them graduating, I think come the end it'll actually be quite sad. It's going to be one of those that I really hope for a happy ending, maybe something along the lines of they all grow up and actually form a band together, it'd be a shame for their group to split up, but sadly enough that's what life does to people. Here's hoping they'll write in a way for them all to carry on being together. ^_^ |

OK, I read the linked Snopes article, but that doesn't really address whether the Japanese believe that eating cold foods (Watermelon and Ice Cones) and then Tempura give them food poisoning. Is that a real belief?
Have to agree with the folks that say it seems like this was the K-on version of Endless Eight. Of course that implies that Kyoto maybe learned that the trick to doing an effective Endless Eight is not to actually do it over eight freakin episodes One of the more enjoyable episodes of Season 2 so far.

How about we call it estrogen poisoning? Quote:
What's odd to me too is that they never talk about boys. |

Right, can't really add much to what's already been pointed out in the thread so far, so I'll just simply say that it's a good episode.
That said... - Azunyan's dreams were pretty trippy. - Right at the end of the episode, when Yui saw the food on the table, the first thing that came to my mind was the food poisoning bit at the start. --Off topic-- *Looks at SaintessHeart's nosebled-to-death body* Right, now that SaintessHeart is no longer among the living, if you'd like to get a job as an obsessive Azusa fanboy (or fangirl, we're not picky), feel free to write in to the Anime Suki forums, located on teh interwebz. --On topic-- Did Mugi ever get her yakisoba in the end?

They're often pining/disillusioned because someone attractive and mature like Sawako can't even seem to find a boyfriend... but as we also know, Sawako has other issues that may steer many guys away

I found it a bit weird in the Death Devil episode that Ritsu pointed out that Mio would be popular among boys, even though one would think that the others are as well (well, maybe Yui might be a bit to ditzy for the in-universe people, despite viewer popularity)

It kind of reminded me of the preview for the fan club episode, which didn't say anything about what the plot was going to be.

This was a very good episode, one of the best episodes so far this season-- 10/10. The other being the field trip and seeing what both sides-- K-ON senior members quartet and Azu-- did during that time.

One of the "Azusa's Trippy Dreams" that got me was in the beginning where Azusa brought over watermelon and Ui gave half to Yui who was practicing Fuwa Fuwa Time. And with that Yui changed her playing into a more happy melody and then it was hilarious when it changed into a sad melody because Azusa didn't know Yui had fried food before and was too late to tell her she'll get some kind of stomach ache. Haha the sad melody reflected her aching tummy!

This is even better, could you imagine what would happen if my male friends discovered I watched this?
I would be razed. A fist fight could even break out depending on who was doing the razing. Quote:
What is amazing to me is how the writer can keep us interested. The show is about nothing really. There's no explosions. No katanas. No sex. |
