Finally read the latest chapters

Ikfes embraces his family's fighting style, the Jebr rebellion is crushed, Lebelont and the other two heroes gain more power with Lebelont wanting to become Emperor, Rozen and the other Seven Lances are release and now work with the Dragon Chief (who's also one of the 7 heroes) who plan to stop Lebelont whe the time comes, Elseria has enough with politics and wants to do thing her own way and Koinzell lives!

Well, there's now 3 known factions against Lebelont, those being the Dragon Chief and his people, Elseria and her people, and the recently awakened Koinzell and his people. Something tells me Ifkes is going do something too. Can't see him as being loyal to Lebelont after that sucker shot.

They gave a solid reasoning for why nobody in the know has tied Koinzell who knows the Black Wing with Ascheritt yet. Black Wing is the Ougi that combines all of the Ludift sword styles basic forms into one ultimate attack (kinda like Hiten Mitsurugi's Kuzuryusen).

So if you're talented and skilled enough, it's not impossible to re-create the technique from those basic forms (it just so happens that the only people in the styles history with the talent to do so were the first master, Koinzell/Ascheritt and Ikfes).

It's not like the style is a privileged style that was only taught to the select few in the kingdom either. Anybody from royals to commoners are allowed to learn it as long as they enroll in the academy and there are apparently no laws that disallows them from passing it on. So it's not strange for them to hypothesize that some talented kid from the border who learned the style and has a vendetta against the Kingdom could re-create the Black Wing.

It's kinda sad to see Koinzell is reunited with his teacher & mother/sister figure, Ms. Gleaa. The fact he couldn't just tell her he's still alive is just heartbreaking.

Lebelont gone nuts. He's already a powerful noble by taking over Glenn's former lands and killing the rebels there, he is feared and respected by the Elector Counts whom let him do whatever he wants, he's now the Fuhrer and head of the Imperial army and replaces most of the army Generals with his followers and got Ikfes as his bodyguard/right hand man. With that kind of power, that would be enough, right? But noooooooooooo.... he wants more and what does he do?
He wants to declare war and exterminate Wischtech, the enemy they made peace 20 years ago! Whats worse it look the Wischtech his son captured and executed were probably innocent and had no idea why there being killed.
Lebelont is an idiot. He's know how the previous war almost ruin the empire and now he wants to do again, all so he can be so famous, he becomes the next Emperor. Either he's doing it to out of envy and to surpass Glenn fame or he's really trying to hide the secret he and the other 7 weren't the ones who made peace with the Wischtech in the first place so he wants to suppress the "real story" and kill them before the Wischtech leaders tell the Empire the 7 weren't the ones they meet 20 years ago.

I think he is doing it for fame. After all HE never really defeated them, it was the 4 who did that...And they didn't really defeat them did they, just won the battle but not the war?

It'll be interesting to see where it goes from here after it is back from hiatus, I'm thinking everyone will be all about the war (except for the ones who fought in the last one and know that it will be a waste of resources and not an easy win). And Ifkes may be a Blade Master, but he is nothing compared to what Asheriett used to be back in the day. You could tell from his face in that last chapter that he looked a little worried about the upcoming war.

It'll Koinzell the the rescue yet again though, which will be epic to see.

If i recall, he wanted to take a break and watch some German movies and play Bayonetta. Yes, Bayonetta!

He needs to work on his 2 other oh-so-similar ambiguous gender manga (more crazy and broad stroke as well), that would seem are more popular or of higher priority. Also some talk about lack of inspiration; I'm guessing its too much to expect most mangaka to actually have a well thought of end-plan for their works when whats at stake is money money. But all whispers and chit-chat here and there, so who knows whats going on in his head.

I for one will wait it out...
