Actually, this new girl seems to be from the magic side. Estelle Rosenthal. Necromancer. The bad guy this time around seemed to be a magician trying to mash science and magic together. Those terms used in their conversation didn't have the brand of AS.

Well, at this point Accelerator doesn't know about Magic, but it is within this time frame he works with group and has suspicions of it. So, will it be about Accelerator thinking to himself how her power is foreign from powers developed from Academy City, then 10 seconds later stops caring, cause Last Order just scraped her knee!

Considering her magic speciality, it makes sense she won't be that useful in a fight unless she somehow manages to reanimate the corpse within the "Coffin"(that mech) and get the zombie to break the "Coffin" from the inside. Though with Accelerator around, corpses should be easy to come by. Will she raid a graveyard and grant Fre nda a cameo appearance? Maybe LO treats Fremea the way she does for a reason? Maybe Fre nda pats her head too often as the corpse still remembers it had a little sister.

Wonder when she will make a light novel appearance? Some other characters from Railgun which were once Railgun only got brief Cameos. Even Arisa from the movie got a cameo in NT 9. This either ends with her dead, back home or just chilling in Academy City.

Maybe she will once the current arc that has Touma as MC end.

I don't like the current art >_> or rather the art for the faces. The art of the robot and action is fine but the expression on the faces of the people are for the better word... bad -_-

So the enemy for the current arc uses machines with dead espers as base of processing power. The machine probably helps in boosting it because the current machine that shows in chapter 2 has the power of level 5 psychokinesis.

So if the art improves all around, then this will be another great To aru add on by Kamachi? Does this seem like it'll maybe get at least somewhat popular? I hope that happens because I like Accel.

Haha. Last Order is a clone of Mikoto so it makes sense that she has her overt tsundere gene.

With regards to the art, I don't put much stock into it as it will improve over time.

Lastly, I noticed that Estell mentioned something about the DA wanting to apply a new layer to the world. Is that supposed to be a Phase?

It seems Estelle is getting used to Accelerator's character. It was amazing to watch how she was scared of his cocky behavior at first and then was surprised by his pretty warm attitude to Last Order Like, 'It seems he's a person that doesn't show his real personality and feelings'. Let's see what kind of relationships they will have together.
Also, this guy (Higata?) looked insane as hell. It seems he really gets excited when finds a good specimen for his coffins(?). The expression on his face when he saw Accelerator was amusing (as well as protruding tongue), for a moment I thought he was a pervert
It seems the project of DA is as inhuman as Level 6 Shift. Maybe Accelerator will obtain some kind of character development fighting with these assholes.
It will be interesting to find out who was that crazily smiling guy and what did this company do to Estelle when she was under their control.
And what is important, she has not told Accelerator that she is a magician.

Last Order was very very cute, with her pretty pajamas. I hope she and Accel will wear some casual clothes once.
And since Estelle is not shown in the original novel, which role will she play in Accel's story? Maybe something bad will happen to her? I can't get rid of the feeling she will die at the end of this arc.

I think so too. And apparently we will see them having fun during the festival. I remember the hint in the anime, Touma heard LO's voice like she was asking someone to buy her something nice during the festival.


And well guys, I think we should somehow respect Accelerator for everything he's gone through while laying in the hospital I mean, he's become crippled recently and is supposed to have a rest only but is forced to go out and fight and deal with something hard and dark for some loli's sake or even for the whole mankind Kinda poor guy.

Yeah. She is adapting and noticing his nice side but still has a few "oh noes wtf, I'm dead now\he'll kill me" moments when he gets angry or seems to be annoyed. Like when LO threw the bentou in Accel's face. Poor thing was terrified.

I lol'd too when she quickly covered her mouth after Accelerator corrected her to not respond to LO. Her face was just uhh, priceless.

Coffin is the name for those mech's cockpits. Very fitting. The pilots are dead after all so the whole thing serves as a sarcophagus. I might add the first one was sexy as hell despite being a corpse.

I wonder how they knew about magic and how Estelle got kidnapped and forced or convinced to help them. Or it was the other way around and it was Estelle who sought them for whatever reasons and after some time, she woke up with her hand in the urinal.( A polish idiomatic expression, probably doesn't make sense in english. Or does it? Basically things didin't go according to her keikau. It backfired on her.)

It is more likely she contacted them first, because I really doubt some random no names would now about magic and all the more about there being a necromancy specialisation. Though they may had their sources. Time will tell.

So far we saw them using corpses of already deceased people and brutally murdering a loose end. Unethical, yup. Not inhumane, not in comparison to Lv6 Shift IMO.

True. Looked cool there. He should drive something more often, preferably an Akira style motorbike. The sole fact he can drive should not be surprising, I mean he is a Level 5 and it probably had an automatic transmissin so, yeah... Anyone can drive those right off the bat. It was night time too, so no traffic. No need to bother about traffic regulations (implying he would give a f* ).

Please no. She is so good looking and cute and petite. Dat face. Those clothes. I have a soft for such design.

Lastly I'll comment about the art. I think it is quite decent. Very good for a starting artist If I may say so myself. Just looked up the cover of Index Vol.1 on amazon, and god it's horrible. Index manga wasn't eye candy too at the beggining but after time both got very, very nice.

I'm satisfied with this spin off so far. The amount of pages is also to my liking.
I'm eager to see how this story will unfold and how it will interlace with other incidents from the LN or Railgun in the future.

It was his own realization that came at the end of the 13th volume, wasn't it? Like, his own strong morality and "even if I'm evil, I will save the world of light" thing combined. I mean, this realization came rather from his meeting Touma and Last Order.

I have no idea. She can't do much other than be another +1 on Accelerator's list of saved people, make him feel good about it and further motivate him to change himself.

I totally forgot he can't know anything about magic until GROUP is formed, at the earliest. Etzali made him think, he probably considered magic before Russia but never really belived it to be true. In Russia he was just surprised it actually exists.
