Talking Favorite Otaku Slice-of-Life Series

Is that what you'd call it? A slice-of-life anime with otakus? Anyway, what series of this type is your favorite? Some examples are Comic Party, NHK ni Youkoso, Otaku no Video, etc.

Genshiken is the best one. It's not even a contest.

While it's live-action, Densha Otoko/The Train Man is probably exactly what you're looking for.

It's very nice to dream my friend, but fansubbers haven't been able to sub all the anime that was shown in a particular season before, nor do I think it's even feasibly possible to do so.

But yeah, lucky star is on my wish list, but that's only because it's being done by Kyoani, who I don't rever because of their high animation quality or what not, but because I get the sense of humor that they put in their shows. (Fumoffu, Haruhi, and Kanon 2k6 had abso-effing-hilarious comedy scenes) I its anybody who can interest 4koma-based anime to me (Azumanga and Pani Poni Dash were snorefests IMO), it would be Kyoani.

As for best otaku slice of life, I'd say NHK ni Youkoso is my favorite one. Sure some other series are funnier, but the characterization in NHK is spot on and very well done. I can't think of any way in which the execution, pacing, and timing of the series could have been improved, and goes well to prove that Gonzo can still make quality series.

Other otaku series that haven't been mentioned yet? I probably forgot other anime, but live action dramas one would also Akihabara@deep (which features some of the dangers/difficulties Otaku face) and Maid in Akihabara.

Lucky Star seems really interesting to me, plus it's being animated by KyoAni, I can't wait to see that

By The Way, the best otaku anime so far is Genshiken for me, NHK anime deals with ota only for some episodes.

Throwing in something new (at least to me, anyway), Otaku no Musume-san also looks promising though I've only read 3 scanslated chapters so far. It's about about an otaku (probably in his 20's) suddenly discovering that he's sired a bastard a few years ago. Now, it appears that he's stuck with a 9 year old loli of a daughter in his apartment.

So, for me, it's
1) Genshiken
2) Lucky Star
3) Otaku no Musume-san
4) Welcome to the NHK (would've ranked higher had the humor been cleaner)

Another vote for Genshiken.
For me, NHK is barely pass as a slice-of-life show.. to much hallucination. Although it's a slice-of-life show, they put the emphasis more on psychological drama aspect of the show.
As for Genshiken, the whole show is about otaku slice-of-life. Based on the question, how can you beat that?

Definitely Genshiken. NHK I don't think really counts, not quite slice of life. It's a good show, though. Lucky Star I wouldn't exactly call slice of life, either. Though it is a modern day, fairly realistic (kinda) setting, it is more of a pure comedy than anything else.

Anyway, now the Genshiken OVAs have bridged the gap in the manga, and there's an S2 coming, I'm a very happy little panda. Best otaku series of all time finally getting concluded. Yay.

Well, if you could imagine anyone living with goddess in real world, then it qualify
This is more of romance-comedy-harem-magical girl anime.
