Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu Season 2

Second season for Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu has been announced by studio DEEN!

Plot Summary:
Quote:
When a certain man is released from prison, he knows exactly where he's heading first. After falling in love with a traditional comic storyteller's rendition of the story called "Shinigami," he is determined to become his apprentice. The performer, Yakumo, has never taken an apprentice before, but to everyone's surprise, he accepts the eager ex-prisoner, nicknaming him "Yotarou."

As Yotarou happily begins his new life, he meets others in Yakumo's life, including Yakumo's ward Konatsu. Konatsu was the daughter of a famous storyteller, and Yakumo took her in after her father's tragic death. Konatsu loved her father's storytelling, and would love to become a performer in her own right—but that path is not available for women.

Hell to the yeah!

Why is there so many good news today? This is my most favorite show last season and they actually confirm a ss2 to finish the story. I'm so overjoyed!

Yes! I never hoped they actually announce S2 but they did it. Even if it will be just 10 eps, I'm happy to see latter part of the story.

We can follow up on that "spoiler", then.

With Deen this was always very possible, but it's still great to see.

I doubt it. Most probably publishers were really satisfied with a boost for KonoSuba LN and Rakugo manga so they green-lit S2. Even if it was in plans, they weren't sure about it.

Split-cours are (almost) always mentioned beforehand.

You have to look at the reception of Konosuba and Rakugo, as well, plus where the anime ended at, to go with the source material that's left.

Some can be a surprise split cour.

Im only guessing that because 3 out of 3 of their shows were given a second season. Konosuba boost makes sense but the other 2 boosts didnt seem that big.

Rakugo manga had a really nice boost and Reinkazan was planned as a split-cour or at least S2 was a given (as someone said, Chinese don't like making their shows 1-cour)

Good news, More shows need to cover the entire story of the source material.

That said, I gotta catch up watching this show soon.

A friend of mine find the graphs for all the adaptations of Winter 2016. Unfortunately I only have the graph itself but I'll ask him for the source than I'll see him.

It just hit me that next season we most likely won't have an opening by Megumi Hayashibara. Too bad. I wonder, if Yuu Kobayashi will sing it instead.

Most probably. I don't mind. She can sing jazzy songs too.
