Well, I guess Gonzo needs the sales, but I won't really complain

Lantis is the one behind the music, not Gonzo. Not to mention that changing OPs/EDs is pretty standard procedure for any 2-cour show, no matter who's behind it.

IC. Well, I guess that was a hasty remark on my part, but still what I meant was not that this was common industry practice, but that they need the sales more than ever.

lately they've released a lot of solid series, i'm still thinking their main issue was aiming for the R1 market for so long and not realising fast enough that it is not enough for them.

now that they are aiming for R2 their sales are far better then before, strike witches alone sold over 12000 LE of each of the disks released.
and my guess would be that saki will sell well, not as well as strike witches of course but well nontheless.

Yes even though Saki definetly has a more solid story and characters, I can't help but see what's closer to porn always selling better.

Isn't there usually a limit to the number of bonus rounds you can get, like 5? Or is that only tournament rules?

8 rounds.

From there, if you ron/tsumo again, it's considered a yakuman. I think.

And I finally got my first yakuman in Tenhou:

Watching this show it kinda spark me to learn to play mahjong. ^^ Well I've been playing a little and I'm starting to get the basic: Pon, Chi, Kan, Richi, Ron, Tsumo. Can someone help me explain the more complex scoring tho? and what's a Dora? ^^

I think I understand how the pair thing works, just can't grasp what exactly earns you points in the course of the game.

For scoring, I highly suggest you read the wikipedia entry.

As for dora, dora is an additional bonus multiplier that counts for extra yaku/fan/han. (Dora does not count toward the 1 yaku/fan/han minimum.) If it is one of the non-honors tile, it is the next sequential tile from the dora indicator tile on the wall.
Ex: Dora indicator is 5 of circles, the 6 of circles is the dora tile.
If the dora indicator is the 9 of any set, the dora is the 1 of the same set.
Ex: The indicator tile is the 9 of characters, the 1 of characters is the dora tile.

If the indicator is one of the dragon tiles, then it is the dragon tile of the next color:
Red->White->Green->Red
If it is a wind tile, then it is the next sequential wind:
E->S->W->N->E

Reverse dora is the same except you only reveal the indicator tile after winning when declaring riichi.

And there's also the kong dora, which are extra dora indicators that are revealed when someone declares a kong and takes a replacement tile (up to a total of 4).

Well this is just the basic I understand. To complete your hand, you need 4 kinds of 'triplets' or 'sequence' and 1 'eye'
Triplets ex: 111, 444, NNN
Sequence ex: 123, 567
Eye (2 of pair) ex: 55, 99

Say you complete your hand before other people do, if you win by taking the last piece you need from someone discarded tile, you call 'Ron', and he will have to pay you points based on your hand score (the other 2 players didn't get penalized). But if you win by getting your last piece from the middle, it's called 'Tsumo' and all 3 players will have to pay you points. The concept is quite simple actually.

Remember unlike poker, in mahjong whoever complete their hand first win. It doesn't matter how cool your hands are, if the person next to you finish before you, then he gets all the money. ^^
