Heheee...
Well, the anime is continuing the trend of the former conversions: Compared to the mangas, the anime is much more "tame". But I have to agree with Used Can: It's been excellent ep, with good pacing, just the possible drama meter has been tuned down quite a bit. Still, Ayatsuji is a joy to behold ... definitely looking forward to the remaining eps. Oh, one side-observation: Ayagami SS is now confirmed to have 25 episodes on TV. This could mean that we get one episode for Miya or the "secret boss" - or that they remain as Bluray extras, and we get treated to a fifth episode for Ayatsuji. I wouldn't be surprised about that, because the progress is definitely slow - waaaay before "halftime" in the manga. I hope they're not planning to cut out the awesome "middle" chapters. So, hoping for an extension to 5 eps! Spoiler:

Whoa... talk about a great episode! I mean, it rivaled Haruka's. I think they are saving the best for last, oh man. I stopped reading the manga around this point (once I the anime was announced) therefore I don't know what's going to happen next, so that's a big plus. I do hope you are right, Mentar, and they give us five episodes for Tsukasa since all of the previous arcs could have benefited from having an extra episode (or two).
The first scene in the classroom with the bathing suit was awesome. She dripping wet and pulled him against her chest! I guess that was why Nyantype & Megami had her in a bathing suit, lol. Tsukasa's voice sure did have a lot of variation. I expected there to be two types of voices, an "outer" and an "inner." I also liked the subtle indication of her growing affection towards Junichi too. No subtle realization stuff or anything. Truly enjoyable.

The first scene was great. threatening him in a bathing suit. rather hot.. haha. good development of her character too. it does a wonderful job of making you wonder what she wrote.
i'm liking this omnibus format. i get to skip the girls i don't like. haha

I'm just kind of surprise that she flat out said she does all this stuff for her own benefit. She invested so much time to go into a top rank university. I'm kind of wondering if her scribels contain the dreams and things she would rather do instead of school work.

Exactly. Having now seen five arcs, Haruka's arc remains the most enjoyable. But this one is promising. Ayatsuji is a fascinatingly complex person. And we seem to be getting the version of Junichi that actually has some force to it.

Wow, this arc is really nice. The atmosphere and development is just great so far. Besides Morishima, non of the other past girls had any voice time today, which is the first time I have noticed that in any of the episodes so far.
Ayatsuji stepping on Tachibana repeated whenever he starts to daydream about Hibiki was funny. It looks like she was already showing signs of jealousy. The development is very cute, although a bit scary at times. Ayatsuji is such a complex character, it will be interesting to see what she has in store next.

Well, we have alot ground to cover. 4 eps aren't really enough to capture a character as complex as Tsukasa's, so they're only touching down on some of the main points. So, there's really not room for distracting fillers by other characters. And at the moment, we have barely scratched the surface of her. When the anime arc is over, I strongly suggest to read the "Precious Diary" manga arc, which digs quite a bit deeper.
In a way, any comparisons to the Haruka arc feel almost a bit insulting ^_^; ... Haruka was a kid in a luscious body, who was humored by everybody due to her looks and star glamor. Tsukasa has a much more multifaceted personality with a much higher maturity level, although some serious quirks and issues remain. Kudos to Junichi to dig them out for us |

Nazuka Kaori's voice work as Tsukasa this episode was impressive — I loved the way her sound changed so drastically between her "inner" and "outer" selves, and even some subtle bleeding of one into the other when she's agitated. (*stomp* "Oh, sorry....")
I'm looking forward to seeing what happens between the Ayatsuji sisters in this arc. Certainly there's a clash of personalities involved here, though it seems like there's more to their tension than just that. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that Yukari is quite talented underneath her appearance of air-headedness; it would go a long way towards explaining Tsukasa's desire to get ahead, motivated by trying to outdo her sister. It'd also fit with the "hidden side" theme of the arc.... |

Tsukasa is turning me into a masochist...
Edit: I thought it was a bit sad that despite how well-received Tsukasa is with her teachers and peers, it seems only Juinchi visited her after she passed out. That's the impression I got when she told him thanks for coming; the class rep is always supporting/helping out everyone, not the other way around. That's the problem with insisting on being self-reliant; eventually people will let you be, even when you actually want someone looking out for you once in a while.
