I' m waiting to it be completed to start reading the second volume and I stopped to see the anime after some episode just to not spoil me. (I stopped it just because usually when an anime cames from a novel the novel is better. Often not always of course. And if I didn't like the anime I' possibly missed a choiche to have a good read)

they are free from him .. How did the interpersonal relationships wind up? Some are likely self explanatory and I heard something about a break up and get back together.. and something about a memory wipe being rumored? Could that be clarified for me? I would appreciate it thanks ^^.

Taichi and Inaba broke-up for less than 24hr because Taichi started to living for others instead of living for himself, which Inaba disagrees. Taichi's idea of helping others actually caused more harm such as disobeying rules. They made up at a church the next day. For the memory wipe part, it is the procedure for Heartseed's experiments. It was successfully stopped but Heartseed decided to test the cultural research club one last time by wiping their memories in a parallel/alternate universe. The group regain their memories by following the clues they left behind and going to the places where important events happened which triggered their strong emotions and started remembering things and in the end they regained all of their memories and were freed from that world.
