I do have to agree...but that's not the (main) reason I like Jessica. She's totally awesome, and I think she has a pretty face, too.

Krauss has hair that's similar in color, the reason for it darkening could come from age. But like somebody else said, this is an anime... so not much needs to be explained. ^^;

Is it just me or does Jessica barely ever do much of anything? Up to the point where the anime is now she's really just died... and that's about it. =/

No, I mean, does she ever do anything? Because she didn't do much of anything in episodes 1-3 except going "Kanon-kuuuuuuun" and die.

Kind of like Shion, except without the plot relevance.

I find it funny that you're complaining about Jessica, when people like George have been much worse when it comes to doing nothing.

Well, at least George made some progress with Shannon.
But yeah, the only human characters that really matter (at the point where the anime is at right now, can't speak for the games) are the parents, Maria and Battler.

And to be honest she does something else. In Epiode 3 for example she attacks Eva in her rage whhich has a huge plot relevance because of that everyone splits up. In episode 1 she supports Natsuhi (at least in the VN) to throw out the others out the study. But if this isn't enough...Yes she will do something else

Either one or more of her parents or Kanon is killed in the first twilight. It could be a coincidence or mabye someone planned it that way...

Spoiler for Episode 4 spoiler and fun statistics problem ;p:

Here's a fun math problem.

Suppose that out of 18 names 6 of them will be chosen as victims for the first twilight. Assume that if Kanon, Krauss, or Natsuhi are killed on the first twilight then Jessica becomes enraged to the point where she is either willing to kill the culprit or go along with someone's plan for immediate revenge. If all six victims of the first twilight are chosen out of the other 15 people then assume that she chooses a defensive strategy which doesn't involve murder or immediate revenge. If Jessica dies in the first twilight she can't avenge herself. Suppose this event occurs in four different worlds. What are the odds that Jessica will seek immediate revenge after the first twilight in all four of the worlds?

I'll take a slightly reverse approach just because I find it easier .

Since there are 14 people that "can be killed" without Jessica freaking out, go from these 14 and subtract.

14 / 17 * 13 / 16 * 12 / 15 * 11 / 14 * 10 / 13 * 9 / 12 = 33 / 136 (about 0.2426)

This is the probability of a first twilight that WON'T enrage Jessica. Take 1 minus that answer to get the probability of a rage-causing twilight: 103 / 136 (about 0.7574)

Now this needs to be taken to the fourth power, since it will be an event that is "rolled" 4 times.

This gives the surprisingly high answer of about 0.328998, or about 32.9%. (hopefully that was correct)

I know how to do this because I also tried to calculate the probability of a "good ending" for Kanon (and well, I've taken stats XD). IIRC, it was something like half of a percent XD.

Compared to the kids in Hinamizawa, half or more of the characters do very little (up to EP3 anyway). Jessica is by no means an inactive character herself. I think George is even less active than her by a bit up to this point. Hideyoshi is like, extremely far behind when it comes to actually doing anything (3 arcs have passed and he's only really had 2 moments... and one of them was after he died and it can be argued that it wasn't even really him).
