I actually tested some other characters basics, and looks like some are difficult to control.

If I tried netplay for casual playing against my buddies, should I try V Akiha or NanaYa, or for netplay, who would you guys recommend?

Nanaya. A lot, if not all of vakiha combos require very precise timing. If you haven't choose a main yet, alternate between the two depending on the lag.

For beginners I'd reccommend Shiki Tohno, if you learn the basics from him you can use anyone moderately well.

Isn't NanaYa a better type for basic commands?

Learning Tohno's basic game play is simple to learn good practice for most of the other characters. Nanaya actually takes quite a bit of work to use him how he's supposed to be used. This is in my experience anyway; if you find Nanaya easier to learn with then of course you should use him.

I guess it's both MBACs, but since people are talking about Netplay, the attention's probably on ver.B.

I'd probably be up for a few matches, but... challenging someone on a forum isn't very efficient, it'd be better if you went to an mIRC channel so you can chat in real time.

I personally hang out at #ero-ero-dan on the rizon server, but it's not the most active during the day and it's not beginner friendly; on a scale of difficulty from "beginner" to "expert" I'd say that the people there are "advanced". If you're confident in your game then they usually log on at the evening. I'm sure there are channels more specialized for MBAC matches but I don't remember any of the names.

Of course it does, but you need both games to have the latest patch (1.03 i think) and the same netplay client (although there's pretty much only one now).

the netplay is available using a 3rdparty software called mbcaster.exe

u paste the caster on the same folder as mbac.exe(along with the other files)

turn on the caster, either u choose to host or to connect to a game.

if 2 players are connected, then the caster will ask for a delay buffer. after dealoing with that u'll be taken into the char selection window.

^^ I'm sure most of u already know this ^^;;

@elvin: ero-ero-dan it is, I'll try it

if u are looking for english translated MBAC then there's a group of people who are making a translation patch(the same people who made translation for tsukihime and utawarerumono) ^^

I;m sure u've heard of them...

but currently they are on 90% of completion or so I heard ^^;;

No good, the top says 0fps 0.00%. Plus I don't have the third box in there for some reason.
