Looks sorta like those political humor images.

I would assume bush being a vampire and the statue of liberty being a icon for America. Bush like a vampire is draining the country of it's life.

The statue of liberty represents... liberty, no?

Yes it does represent Liberty from the British. But what else does the image tell? Mine is just a single response from what I thought it meant.

I meant that the obvious interpretation is that Bush is draining/killing our liberty (the Patriot Act is something commonly thought of along those lines) . I just thought it was funny how you were assuming that the statue of liberty represented something other than liberty. You're not necessarily wrong (insofar as interpretations could possibly be wrong), but it's just funny that your first thought was something else.

Not really. The Statue of Liberty is really an icon of America as a whole, not really liberty in the literal sense (though it DOES depend on context). The Patriot Act is old news, buddy. That's been out of effect for a while, now... like for the btter part of four or five years. The political image here I think is more slanted towards the *economic* idea that Bush and his administration has drained the economic life out of the country, with the development of the currect recession and all. Our basic constitutional rights certainly haven't been taken away, if that's what your implying. I don't think security at airports is really that big of an issue anymore.

I didn't realize it was new. And I don't feel strongly about it, I just thought it was a more obvious interpretation.
