A very good season finale, I suppose.
The fight against the Yellow scarves -or rather Blue Squares- was a bit disappointing. I expected Anri and Celty to kick major asses but they didn't do much.
Turns out Kadota and other Dollars members were here among the Yellow scarves, you'd think they would have intervened sooner, like when Kida was getting the crap beaten out of him...Anyhow, Kida manages to gather enough strength to stand up and punch Horoda again after learning he was involved in the Saki incident. Kida collapses right after, and has a long talk with Mikado and Anri.
Meanwhile, Horoda and a few of his lackeys manage to escape in a car. Celty chases them. And suddenly, guess who appears in the middle of the road? Shizuo! That javelin throw was epic. Of course, what he used wasn't a javelin... Horoda eventually gets arrested by Kuzuhara (finally! I was starting to think he would never show up again).
Afterwards, we see that big guy who was always with Horoda meet up with Izaya. He was his spy all along... but now he is also Anri's. Anri and Izaya fight, but unfortunately Anri isn't able to cut him (he's got some serious evasion skills...). In the end, he pulls out his gun, and threatens to kill innocent bystanders, so she is forced to let him go. Before leaving, he tells her that humans are his, but he doesn't care about "Shizu-chan" so she can have him if she wants.
Needless to say, I was disappointed Izaya came out of this unscathed. But surprisingly, when he gets back to his office, he looks like this:
HAHAHA! Turns out he had a little encounter with Simon on the way back. Couldn't understand a word of Simon's lecture since it was in Russian, but that punch was satisfying.
err, I think I'm writing too much. As for the rest of the episode: Saki and Kida left town together, and Kida later joined the chatroom (Mikado recognized him right away
). The episode ends with Anri and Mikado smiling at each other.
