Ep 6 excellent. Lots of good stuff, even in the plot department, but my favorite moments were Victorica's first little grunt, and then the sound she made when she fell. Yuuki Aoi can really do those little sounds.

That sound was pretty funny indeed. Yuuki Aoi is truly shining in this role. I'm starting to sound like a broken record here, but... Victorique is SO CUTE! I think she's actually getting a little cuter with each passing episode.

More info about Victorique's mother and the gray wolves. They are peculiar people, but they've apparently got eternal lolis, so it's good. I wonder what their special ability is? Super intelligence or psychic powers? The latter would explain why Victorique's far-fetched deductions always turn out to be correct.

Anyhow, this is shaping up to be a very intriguing arc. Since he's important enough to be in the opening, I expect that magician to play a role in it.

Does anyone know why Victorique got so mad at Kujo for poking her forehead? She made it sound like he molested her lol. My favorite moment of the episode was Victorique's sleep-talking. What's up with her and her brother's obssession with Squirrels?

This actually becomes somewhat an important point later on (not in the sense that it is a big mystery, but in the sense of say ... a reactionary event because of it), so I suggest people don't answer this in the anime thread until at least when this arc's over (by then you probably get the answer as well ). Feel free to speculate though!~

The sneaking out scene and the cavities totally reminded me how completely clueless Kujou is. All male lead gets +100 skill points on cluelessness regarding romantic interest, but this guy gets +100 points on cluelessness regarding common sense.

I agree, Kujo and common sense is like mixing oil and water. It's a little annoying though. I understand some of them are jokes, but feel the audience is somewhat being made a fool of with them.

He was intriguing, and he might pop up again because it seemed like he was waiting for Kujo to perform real magic, unless it was just to give him the hat to trick Grevil.

I felt bad for Victorique after she fell. She was so cute though. Can't believe Kujo made her cry. Obviously the pain factor might come into play later, but i don't think its anything important.

Kujo demonstrating how dense he is again was quite funny. At least he brought along all her essentials unlike with the Queen Berry.

The best part for me was when she sleep-talking to Kujo. Nice that we finally get some info about her mother. I hope she can clear her mother's name. Is her mother missing or dead because she said she entered the war right? (If it's a spoiler forget i asked)

Interesting that the village already had swords out when Victorique appeared. Her mother must be charge with some serious murder. From Victorique expression i say the Elder is responsible for kicking out her mother. I wonder why he called for a celebration?

I'm sure there has to be some storyline reason for that.. With that and the fall thing it seems really sensitive to pain.. I dunno.. something about that on top of how she figures stuff out so fast (and that one animation thing they do when she does that) makes me wonder what exactly is she... Yes I know they started to explain stuff this episode but something really seems like she isn't quite human.. I'm probably just reading too much into this or something...

It seems volume 2 has started. I didn't remember anything about the magician, but I vaguely remember the case with the nun and the plate, so I think it's been accurate so far. I remember liking this arc but I don't remember the specifics, so I'm counting on Bones to make it good.

On Tuesday night, they will feature a challenge between two TV Tokyo announcers and Victorica -- who I guess may be represented by Yuuki Aoi.

This week breaks us into more of Victorique's story, as we learn about her mother, the origin of the "Gray Wolf" title Grevil used for her, the village her mother came from, and more. This is more of what interests me.

Victorique's solution to the missing plate mystery is too smart for her own good: if the nun wanted to steal the plate that SHE'S SELLING, she could certainly have arranged something simpler and less public than that flashy event, which was sure to cast suspicion on her already. I suspect Kujo failed to relate some important clue to Victorique. The pigeons clearly are supposed to remind us of the magician, but I don't have a clear picture of what his part may have been if he stole it. Besides, it seems too obvious what with him having just done the puff of smoke + pigeons a moment before, although it wouldn't be the first mystery in this series to be too obvious...

Kind of a shame Avril isn't involved more. I think she and Victorique should meet.

I wonder why Victorique reacted so strongly to Kujo flicking her forehead. Her reaction almost seemed like that of an abuse victim, somehow. Obviously being locked up all her life for something her mother supposedly did qualifies as abuse, but it doesn't relate to this response.

And we see Victorique's father. Although his face is in shadow, he is clearly the guy in the OP shown carrying Victorique away from Kujo, into a castle. Although she calls him a marquis here... didn't she say he was a duke before? And Grevil was a marquis? Translation error perhaps, or perhaps he inherited the duchy later and his son's inherited title is marquis, I don't know. My Japanese skill is not up to catching the distinctions in the words.

Oh of course, let us walk right into the middle of the village of people who greeted us with drawn swords a moment ago, as they talk about how they can celebrate now that the daughter of a person they clearly hated and feared has come back to them. "Celebrate" has rarely sounded more like "ritually sacrifice" than at that moment.

I fear Victorique may be in trouble for leaving the school without permission, especially to go ANYWHERE that was associated with her mother. This may directly relate to why her father appears in the OP, taking her away.

I assume it isn't related to pain and that it's the gesture itself that has a meaning for her... I have no idea what it is though. I'll wait for more clues.

Yes, it doesn't make sense for the nun to steal the plate, unless she was just an intermediary. Another point that puzzled me in her reasoning this week is that she knew the nun sat like a man. Is that the kind of detail Kujo would pay attention to and think of relaying to Victorique? Maybe I'm underestimating him, but I reallly doubt it. He wasn't even able to make the connection between the birds and the magician.

Exactly, I was actually surprised when he said that he actually thought Victrorique wanted to go to a dentist

Yes, this is one of the flaws of this series. How come Kujo almost never fails to mention every key detail(even the ones which aren't easily noticeable), when most of the time he isn't shown to be that smart.

Yeah, I thought Kujo was an idiot before, but he really outdone himself this episode. I too thought he was teasing V, but I can't believe he actually believed that. I mean, I know most male lead aren't the sharpest tool in the box, and I'm not hoping for him to be as script reading perceptive as V, but this level of cluelessness is just....what, did he look at Ichika in Infinite Stratos and said, "No, I'm going to be the densest male lead of the season"? Seriously, WTF. And on top of that, he makes V cried, considered a crime in most places! To be honest, the mystery is beyond weak and I'm watching this just for V, but Kujo is really killing my enjoyment for this show.

Yeah, it confuses me too, the only way to explain it is if she's an intermediary like you says, I hope they'll explain it later seeing how she's still in the picture. To be honest, as the episodes goes on I'm more convinced that the book she's constantly reading on the library has the script on it. Really, more and more this is becoming like Encyclopedia Brown. I mean, that is way circumstantial an evidence, surely Victorique has never watched Index before...

Well, the rest of the episode is pretty good though, we finally will delve into V's past, and her motivation of clearing her mother's name seems interesting. I just hope she will use stronger evidences this time...
