Tokiko's flashback was less revealing than in the manga, but the manbga also made heavy use of pixeling there, and there may be a narrative reason to keeping the appearance of the responsible homunculus a secret for the time being...

Children friendly seems like a wrong word to use, if you put it that way. How about 'family friendly?' This is pertaining to the more...bloody scenes, and they are not only restricted to just the 8 episodes I've seen so far. I'm pretty sure it will continue to censor some of the more explicit material.

Besides, I'm of the opinion that anime is considered a widely available source of entertainment to "people who don't like seeing too much blood", so I'm simply stating a fact. Sorry if I sounded stupid.

Spoiler for Tokiko:

In episode eight now we understand why Tokiko is much relunctant to be open to others, and her common grumpy self.

The Homunculi that savagely murdered every child and adult at her (possibly) former elementary school with her being the only survivor that witnessed the onslaught.

When Bravo mentions that Tokiko has quite grown soft until recently it is because Tokiko's starting to admit herself that she has warmed up to Kazuki. Kazuki has this aura of joy and optimism to inspire others to believe for themselves and learn that even there's an answer for what seems to be impossible, hopeless ventures.

It's not that Tokiko disdains or chases out companionship or relationships with other people. It's just that Tokiko desires for the best not to get any others involve in the war between the Alchemic Warriors and the Homunculi. She doesn't want her past to repeat again on other innocent people.

However, with Kazuki's involvement growing stronger she's softening, so maybe soon Tokiko will indulge in the prime of her youth days and start making friends again.

I have to compliment this show for pulling out clever ways to place comedy outburst in the middle of a tense and ominous scene.

Zombie-like Mahiro looked creepier, as I thought for a moment she was closing in on Tokiko for some kind of yuri moment.

Still, ugh! how come Chouno/Papillion in his underwear get past the censors?

Why he has this fetish to put items inside his undergarment?

well not surprisingly it turns out the Hayasaka siblings are indeed on the evil side...but even so it seems that the choose to be that way due to a wish they want fulfilled...
this makes me think that they arent bad/evil normally but is driven by a desire of unknown purposes...

nothing special about this ep except the intro to the two and some drop dead funny bits
the bath scene is indeed funny/disturbing

Episode 9 was just a build up to episode 10, the fight against the twins should be good.
Kazuki's gotten much stronger with all the training hes been doing so it'll be good to see if hes got any new moves.

Hehehe. The words 'nothing special about this ep' made me gasp. How can the episode that introduces the twins and features the most infamous bathhouse scene be considered anything but super special!

This was another awesome episode. When the fight started the pace moved so quickly by the moment I barely realized the episode ended in a flash but did so to make preparations for the upcoming climax for the next episode.

Basically, the theme for this episode is self-improvement. It kind of recalled on me about those sports-drama anime where the main leads coaches themselves to strive for the top position at what sport are best.

Shuusui and Kazuki are like that because they desire to better themselves and enthusiastically enjoy a good fight.

Comedy was at the peak of its gold during the infamous bath house. The boys played on a deviant variation of rock-scissors-paper watching at each other's... ehem! you-know-what

And then comes Chouno/Papillion making his strength in his full hentai glory and again with the mask.

I also do agree that the twins are not inherently evil.

If Dr. Butterfly does not hold any confidence onto them for issuing Papillion to have them tailed every movement of theirs, then twins hold no affinity for the L.X.E. ways of thinking or goals.

I do not think that the twins even indulge themselves in deliberate violence or senseless killing. If they hurt or kill people would be so to ensure their survival.

The wish must be related to something either of a disease or a life-threatening issue that poses to them danger of separation.

I'm glad I have not yet read the manga, because I want to know what everyone else meant with disturbing for the twin's wish. That's something that hopefully will be touched upon the next episode.

Hmmm not much to really say about ep 9 The next episode will be way better. Im Intrested to see how those two will fight Kazuki.

Well... female fanservice does nothing for me. Th male fanservice in Busou Renkin is mostly awfully amusing, since it is so... openly gratuitous. As usual, it does not take itself too seriously, as demonstrated by Papillon's mere presence in this scene. The bucket, yes, one really has to wonder why it does not fall off.

Episode 10 ought to be subbed soon, right? I want to see how many here catch the injoke.
