Oho! Things are just getting started. Quick everyone, we must catch Eva! Chugs a Red Bull and flies in the direction Eva went (because Red Bull gives you wings).
That's a LIE . It doesn't do jack, false advertisement
On a side note, just got done watching Soul Eater ( ep. 17 ).
Im surprised no one done a fic of it with the characters of Nanoha instead.
Plus Fate fighting like Maka and Stein (both use Scythes as well) would be cool, that and Bardiche eating evil souls
I hopped off my bike and looked around the area sharply before making my way past the long line of people waiting to get into the club known as the Roxburry. The bouncer stepped infront of me to block my path but after I gave him a smile he stepped back and made a small minute long conversation with me before I was allowed in.
The music was loud, as always, and the place seemed to be rather packed tonight. I guess they let in more than they should have. Hope a fire marshal isn't around anywhere...
I made my way to the bar and noticed a short girl sitting on a stool with a vacant on next to her. Short brown hair was slightly visible coming from her floppy white hat and between the collar of her white leather trench coat.
Nanoha had told me everything about what happened with the girl and I was slightly confused by it. Signum had told me that Nanoha was going to be poisoned but it seems that the girl couldn't go through with it. Adding in the details from our last encounter, I was interested in what the woman had to say.
I sat down next to her and felt her look at me. At first I had thought that she made people leave me a seat open by sending death glares to them but it turns out, judging by her embarrassed look, that she had probably been asking them politely to save the seat for her friend.
Alton came up to me and gave me a glass of whiskey with a few ice cubes and nodded at me. I nodded back and brought the glass to my lips and sipped it. "You wanted to see me?" I asked casually, making her nervous. This was probably her first meeting with someone she was supposed to fight against.
"Yes." She nodded and took a drink of her daiquiri, smacking her lips. I couldn't help a small giggle come from my throat and she blushed darkly. "Shut up."
"I didn't say anything." I turned and leaned against the bar and looked out on the danceclub. "You have guts coming to my hunting ground."
"This place is the source for many vampires."
"Only me and the idiots," I countered her. "The smart ones leave this place alone."
"...I see..." Hayate looked down and I got the vibe that I had just told her something that countered what she was told previously.
"Why didn't you do your job?"
Hayate kept facing the bar and stared into her drink. "She's a human..."
"They told you to kill her while Signum killed me, didn't they?"
"How did you know?"
"You just told me." I couldn't frown, despite the grim words. "This is two times you have spared her." She stayed silent and took another drink. She tried not to make any indication that she wasn't used to alcohol but her plan failed when she coughed slightly. "How long," I wondered. "Have you been a paladin?"
"All my life."
"Then why do you suck at it so much?"
She turned and glared at me and I once again noticed that she didn't have any fear in her eyes. "I'm not going to kill humans, just vampire scum!"
"Am I scum?" My voice softened and I turned to look at her. "I just want to live and take care of Nanoha."
"You just want her blood."
"I don't drink from her." Her eyes widened slightly before narrowing again. "She's really sick, I hate the taste."
"Then why-"
"Because she's special." I cut her off and took another drink. "I'm pretty sure I know what you've been told. Not all Vampires are like that, but most are. Blindly hunting and killing makes you no better than a murderer."
"I don't-"
"I know." I grinned at her startled face. "You're different."
She looked at me a moment and then sighed. "I want to ask you something."
"Yes?"
Hayate stayed silent a moment more. "If I told you I was assigned to kill you, what would you say?"
"That you were sent to die, just like Tia."
She nodded softly. "I get the same feeling somehow." Hayate's shoulders sagged. "But why...?"
"I don't know," I finished the glass and sat it on the counter, along with a few hundred dollar bills to take care of my tab. "Your drinks tonight are on me."
"But-"
"Hayate," I faced her and reached over to fix her crooked collar under her trench coat. "Find what you want in life and do it. Just because you are a paladin doesn't mean you need to throw your life away needlessly." I smiled at her.
Hayate's face reddened and she swallowed thickly, trying to still her beating heart.
~**~
NAnoha opened her eyes slowly and looked at me after a few moments. "Hey there," I greeted her softly. "Good morning."
She smiled and yawned. "I had the strangest dream last night."
"Oh?"
"Yeah..." Nanoha sat up in her hospital bed and rubbed her eyes. "There were lots of little girls with huge guns and buffaloes everywhere."
"Buffaloes?" I blinked.
"Mmn. Buffaloes."
I felt her forehead. "MAybe you're taking too many meds..."
Nanoha giggled. "They've been in my dreams since I was little."

Here we go, another chapter of Vita Shadows of the past
Alphonse, the Brave
Spoiler for Chapter 4:
Vita took a loke to the island in wich she was now, the planes were fling above her and an enormus castle was visible at the top of a hill pasing the enormus beach
"We will have to make our way to the castle my dear, although that hamer of yours look pretty dangerous (specially carried by someone like you) I sugest you to take this with you, jus in case, you know" Alphonse handed a black pistol to Vita, the mage grabed it a bit concerned
"Me? A gun? How absurd!" Vita though, buts she prefered to grab it without saing a word just to not disapoint Alphonse
"Well, beter to push on!" Alphonse added before starting to run in direction to the castle, although he was really georgeous, Vita couldn't stop thinking that his current companion was kinda wierd, but at least she wasn't alone, the planes were bombarding the island, explotions at the distance and shoots were at all directions
"Shhh..." Alphonse pointed at a turn in the hill, a little spot place with 2 strange soldiers dressed with pretty strange costumes
"Control!" One of them said through a comunicator "We are going to lost the beach! We must replegate now!"
Alphonse took his gun and with 2 very precising shoots, he took out the 2 soldiers, Vita was... almost impresed
"Station! Station! Respond! Respond!" Was heared on the comunicator
"Looks like they know we are here" Vita said
"We better keep moving" Alphonse added
The party keeped their move until they finally reached the main gates of the castle, they both entered on the enormus estructure who looked really ancient, they were in some kind of storage room full with weapons and AMMO
"It's quiet... too quiet" Vita said
"Uh? That sounded like an old movie's frace" Alphonse added
"Are you moking me?" Vita added
"No, no, no, no! I just..." Before the young man could finish, a big grate falling blocking the gatyes behind them
"They traped. Attack!!!" A voice comanded from the top of the big room, lots of soldiers appeared wielding automatic weapons and shooting against Alphonse and Vita
The two companions hided behind some crates, Alphonse grabed his gun and fired against the enemy soldiers, Vita tried to do the same but her gun was not working
"Did you gave me an averiated gun?"
"No, you have the lock!" Alphonse said while pushing a very little buton on the gun, inmediatly after he do this and by accident, Vita fired the weapon, the bullet hited a candelabrum who falled upon some soldiers
"He, he. Not bad kid" Alphonse said
"Agh! Forget it! I will do it at my way!" Vita throwed the gun and grabed Graf Eisen, she then launched her silver balls against the remain soldiers who were beated very easy, she just blocked the bullets with her magical shield and took down the ones who aproached with single melee attacks
"I say, how do you do that? Seems that you are more that meets the eye uh?"
Vita just smiled, they both walked to another gates at the end of the room but it was shuted, and there was no other way out
"Look!" Vita said while pointing at a little bolt who was at the top of the room, from the bolt, 2 big chains were heading to the gates "If we could destroy that, the gates will probably open"
"Ah! I have an idea" Alphonse ran and grab a fisher's arpoon and a cartridge of dynamite who were among the stuff on the room, with a rope, he attached the dynamite to the arpoon and with a match he turned it on, with strenght he launched the arpoon to the bolt, the dynamite exploted destroing the bolt, the gates got opened at the instant
"Tadah!" Alphnse added
"Mmm... something tells me that Alphonse has done this before" Vita though
"Yeah, thank you very much my dear crowd, now if you don't mind my dear red haired girl, there is someone I need to rescue!" Alphonse was the first one to get out of the big room, followed by Vita who was starting to enjoy the presenceof this allie
Alphonse and Vita found them selves in an open area again, but this time they seemed to bein some big balconies who were part of the castle, the stone road was heading up
"Let's go!" Vita said, the party ran up following the road, the planes keeped their attack over the island, Vita and Alphonse needed to hurry
Yeah, I'mnot updating this fic so often as I did with Vatican Knights the reason it's because I'm reaching the climax point on Nanoha, Risew of Techno- Union so that doujinshi is getting most of my atention at the moment
Speaking of wich, here have another preview of the nextc chapter of NROTU
Spoiler for PREVIEW:
I was joking! XD
You'll have to wait until chapter9 is finished and posted
Delurking... Hi... So... hope is good. I think it was kinda affected by the fact that I'm sleepy. My first Nanoha fic ...
Spoiler for Friday Afternoon:
Fate entered slowly and tiredly into the room she shared with Nanoha and Vivio. That Friday was the last in a week that the blonde girl had hardly a minute off, Hayate having noticed her barely keeping her eyes open had issued a order for her to go to sleep and not come back until Monday (she had also threatened to have her Court Martial if she took a step into her office). Actually she thought it was a good idea to be sent home, for the moment that she let herself drop into the couch her eyes closed and she ended up falling into a light nap.
That was until the door opened a second time and a very energetic little girl entered the room. Vivio's heterochromatic eyes found the red ones of her mama and she smiled happily, she hadn't saw her in this last few days, the girl climbed on the couch and joined her Fate-mama falling asleep against her warmth immediately. The blonde saw Zafira in wolf form put Vivio's previously discarded bag on the table, the male gave her a nod in way of goodbye and left the room, she couldn't be sure but she thought that he was smiling.
By the time the door opened a third time the two occupants of the couch were already in a deep slumber and didn't noticed Nanoha coming in. That was until the brunette got close and caressed Vivio's head, a protective instinct in Fate woke her and her eyes met Nanoha's, as it always happened when she saw her old friend a smile bloomed on her lips.
"You do know that she's now going to spend half the night awake?" The blue eyed girl pretended to be cross, as way of answer the red eyed one grabbed her hand and made her lie in the now incredible crowded couch. "Fate the couch is small... Fate?" But it was already too late to protest, with a sleepy 'I love you' the blonde girl closed her eyes and went back to sleep.
She had seen how tired Fate had been this previous weeks and Vivio looked so cute sleeping in the small couch while clutching to Fate's shirt. Nanoha gave a resigned smile and let herself be pulled to dreamland with the rest of her small family, there were worst fates than entertaining an sleepless little girl a Friday night, and to cuddle with her two favorite girls in the afternoon was a too precious opportunity to let pass by.
That was cuuuutteee! Welcome to the thread and have a pleasant stay.

Oh... my.... you really like to get the suspense up and running, don't you? Can't wait for the next chapter.
Ok well im back again after a little bit of time away, some crazy stuff just happened, and it inspired this little ficlet......
Spoiler for Ficlet:
Nanoha was sitting in a bare white room. The only sound was a small and regular beep that echoed deeply in the silence that engulfed her. ‘It wasn’t supposed to be like this…..’. There was a small groan from the body in front of her as it shifted slightly in the hospital bed. Blonde hair splayed the pillow, as the girl slowly sat up, a hand gripped hers tighter.
“Nanoha?” her name ripped through the silence, forcing the brunette to look at her.
“I’m here Fate-chan”
“Nanoha, why can’t…..”
“sssh Fate-chan, its ok, do you remember what happened?”
A moments pause as the blonde hung her head, lost in thought.
“We acted on the intel we received, but it was a trap and then I protected you….. nnngh!”
It all came back to Fate as she gripper her head as a sudden throbbing pain hit her. It was like a white hot poker had just pierced her forehead.
The pain subsided, the blonde slowly brought a hand to her face, feeling a felt like material. Nanoha looked at the blonde worriedly, eyeing the black mask that covered her face, would she ever see those red eyes stare back at her ever again?
“Nanoha am I bli-”
Fate was grasped tightly into a hug before she knew what was happening. “I don’t know Fate, Shamal said there’s a 50/50 chance of your sight returning, but you have to wear that mask for a week to see if the treatment she administered has any effect…..Your retinas are too sensitive right now, any exposure to light could destroy what chances you have…” Fate didn’t miss the dropping of the honorific on her name. Nanoha was deadly serious; she could feel her best friend shaking against her, desperately fighting the tears that threatened to fall. Fate realised her eyes still remained so dry, could she cry anymore?
“That attack was meant for me Fate-chan…..how could you?” Nanoha’s lament had turned to anger now, and Fate couldn’t help but smile.
“I think the question is Nanoha, how could I not?”
As soon as the anger had come it was gone and a new hug and fresh tears were felt against Fates hospital gown.
Shamal looked into the room and closed the door slightly as Hayate and Signum locked eyes with her.
“What are the chances of Testarossa recovering her full sight Shamal?”
“It is 50/50 right now, it all depends on Fate, in both senses of the words.”
Spoiler for Why?:
Basically IRL, i just had Laser Eye Surgery to get rid of my glasses, and well, it was pretty scary, people mucking around with your sight, and at times i couldn't see anything at all. Moments passed where i thought, what if i did become blind? So this is where the above came from.... Im fine now! more or less, still pretty blurry!
Anyway im tempted to turn this into a fluffy little NanoFate thing, Nanoha helping Fate while she can't see, comical fluff and some angst ensued? thoughts?
@MarkSellus Sorry didn't reply to PM, i've taken on board what you said, just above meant i couldn't write too much lately, ill work on it!

Surgery eh? Didn't it cost like crazy? I'll stick to glasses XP. And still blurry?...
Anyway, my angst challenge fic is going slow as I don't have any ideas yet. Expect it soon though, I hope.

@MarkSellus Sorry didn't reply to PM, i've taken on board what you said, just above meant i couldn't write too much lately, ill work on it!
Just dropped by to enquire about the state of all Warhammer 40k/Nanoha related projects within this thread. How is it going?
I am asking because I might be restarting my own Warhammer 40K/Anime project soon, and it would be interesting if we could exchange ideas or simply cowrite stuff. Fate, Nanoha and Hayate are heavily featured in my Anime40K crossover storyline, so I suppose this post belongs in here. Though I must admit that from what little I have seen, my vision for a Nanoha/40K crossover is vastly different from what the majority of the writers here have in their mind.
Anyway, feel free to drop me a PM or simply reply on this thread. Looking forward to any and all replies!

Spoiler for I'll take the kids, but you take my heart:
The tiny bell rang throughout the small coffee shop as the door opened and closed. Although each ring meant another customer and cash for the small family-owned café, Momoko was having trouble handling the barrage of people demanding coffee, tea, and pastries. Her left eyebrow twitched as she tried to control her irritation.
“Kyoya!” she called into the kitchen door behind the cash register, “Will you please help me?”
“Sure, mom,” echoed the reply.
She gave the correct change to the elderly woman in front of the register along with her bran muffin and tea. The old woman slowly placed the change in her purse, and Momoko smiled her thanks though she was wishing that the woman would suddenly sprout wings and fly away.
“Sorry, mom,” said the young adolescent boy with a pile of clean dishes in his arms, “I got stuck cleaning back there. What can I do?”
“Would you mind restocking the pastry bins?” she sighed thankfully, “Oh, and grab a few gallons of whole milk from the back if you don’t mind.”
“No problem,” he grinned and opened the back of the clear bake case.
“Where’s Miyuki?” asked his mother while writing a name on cardboard travel cup, “She should be helping you.”
“She went to pick Nanoha up from school,” Kyoya said.
Momoko turned to look at the clock to see that it was a little after four in the afternoon, “I didn’t know it was that late!”
Guilt filled Momoko’s heart. She imagined her youngest daughter standing alone outside of her school waiting for her good-for-nothing mother to pick her up. She hoped it wasn't raining over there.
“It’s ok, mom,” Kyoya said reading his mother’s reaction, “Miyuki knew you wouldn’t make it when she saw the line, so she left at a quarter after three.”
Although Momoko was relieved, her daughter’s responsible behavior failed to assuage her guilt. She had almost forgotten her daughter at school, the business was struggling, and she had just slammed her index finger into the register. Tears welled in her eyes as she smiled and thanked another customer though her finger burned and pulsed in pain.
It hadn’t always been like this. The espresso machine hissed as she frothed the milk for the large mocha she was making. There was a time when she liked the customers who visited Midori-yu Café, but he was still alive and did most of the labor back then. She mixed the frothed milk into the hot chocolate espresso combination while she remembered the good old days before the Starbucks had moved into the same block, when her three children were still young, and Shiro was still…
She stopped herself from thinking about her late husband and placed the lid securely on the cup and handed it to the waiting customer.
“Mama!”
The chime from the door announced the arrival of the youngest Takamachi. The five year old was small for her age, but she had the energy of a thousand hummingbirds. She smiled broadly and twirled her way behind the counter.
“Did you have fun at school today?” asked her mother while giving her little girl a big hug.
“Mmm!” Nanoha beamed, “I got to build a huge sandcastle in the sandbox today, and then-“
“Excuse me,” interrupted the man in front of the register, “but can I get my latte sometime this century?”
“My apologies, sir!” Momoko turned away from Nanoha to get the two shots of espresso from the machine.
“I got it, mom,” said Miyuki while tying her apron around her.
“Thank you, sweetie,” Momoko said apologetically and turned her attention back to Nanoha, “What happened then?”
“It doesn’t matter,” pouted Nanoha, “Mama needs to work.”
The guilt came back, but Momoko really didn’t have time to nurture it, “I’m sorry, Nanoha, but I want to hear about it tonight. OK?”
“But mama is always tired at night,” frowned the brown haired girl.
“I’m sorry, honey,” begged the guilt-ridden Momoko, “Things will calm down soon. Why don’t you go play in the park till we close?”
Nanoha shook her head, “I don’t have anyone to play with.”
Momoko desperately looked for a way to appease her young offspring, but she needed Miyuki and Kyoya for the afternoon rush.
“You can come play with us.”
Momoko turned to the origin of the voice. A tall but beautiful woman sipped on her cup of tea while her two small children pulled her in the direction of the park. Momoko had never seen this woman before and wanted to ask who she was before entrusting her daughter to her.
“Lindy Harlaown,” the woman smiled and pointed to her children, “This is my son, Chrono, and my daughter, Fate.”
The children bowed to Momoko.
“We moved into town just the other day,” she continued, “and my children have really taken a liking to the park. We would be honored to have your little one play with us. Right, Fate?”
The blond with pigtails tied with black ribbons blushed and hid behind her mother’s knee, but she nodded.
“Aww,” cooed Momoko bending down to get eye level with the blond haired girl, “How old are you, Fate?”
“I’m this many,” the girl said just above a whisper, and she extended her whole hand.
“Nanoha’s five too!” she said gently while expecting her daughter to trample her to meet the new people.
She was a bit surprised to find Nanoha hiding behind her and staring at Fate.
“That’s odd,” Momoko said while standing to speak with Lindy, “Usually she’s bouncing off the walls to see new people. I’m Momoko Takamachi, by the way.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” smiled Lindy, “Well, are you going to come with us Nanoha?”
Nanoha hesitated before smiling and running after Ms. Harlaown.
“Don’t worry, Momoko,” said Lindy while handing Mrs. Takamachi a business card, “We’ll be back in an hour or two. If you need anything, call my cell phone. Number’s on the card.”
“Thank you!” sighed Momoko gratefully as the needs of the café demanded her attention, “How can I repay you?”
“Come out to dinner with me tonight,” Lindy winked at her while the three children were already outside of the door.
Momoko blushed a deep red while Lindy went out to join the kids causing the tiny bell on the door to echo throughout the café.
Anyway im tempted to turn this into a fluffy little NanoFate thing, Nanoha helping Fate while she can't see, comical fluff and some angst ensued? thoughts?

Why it can't happen? You need to watch more delicious Candy Boy
Anyway im tempted to turn this into a fluffy little NanoFate thing, Nanoha helping Fate while she can't see, comical fluff and some angst ensued? thoughts?
@MarkSellus Sorry didn't reply to PM, i've taken on board what you said, just above meant i couldn't write too much lately, ill work on it!
keep going i wanna know what will happen to Fate.
@ Black Wolf: nice one.

Well that´s one way to open the door, i suppose. Good chapter.

It would be interesting if you continue this.

Is that enough, or should I go on?
Continue. Me wants more
