Eh, It's not like I was against this kind of development really. I mostly prefer Kumagawa & Shiranui anyway. As long as nothing too serious happens to them, I don't mind either way.

According to the spoilers that's it, crappy I know hence what I said before. This arc just reached a new low if that's all there is to it (there's probably some more). Unless Nisio really wants to go all out with the trolling.

Those spoilers are about as legit as they come. You could probably take issue with the translation but I don't know it didn't seem particularily ambiguous. Chapter itself will probably be better given the overall context etc.

Like I said before same dude posts this stuff and you can go by previous spoilers to see how accurate they are.

I honestly don't know how he could expand on it, unless he retcons it next chapter, which i don't really think he can, not easily anyway Kumagawa gives a serious speech (even says to Zenkichi e wasn't going to joke around), there's an Emukae flash back, he cries says "I win at last" and it shows Medaka. This is his graduation ceremony. I want Nisio to but I don't see based on the spoilers it'll obviously be clearer with the chapter how Nisio can retcon this/alter this.

graduation ceremony, Kumagawa is representing the third-years
it's a transition chapter so there's a lot of dialogue and Medaka returns
Kumagawa cries and says that he finally won, regarding the bet of the last chapter
Hanten went on the moon together with Medaka to help her, he's driking tea with Obi and Iihiko's echo
With Iihiko's damage reversible Obi says that the Shiranui village has no reason to exist now
She says that Ajimu will come back sooner or later
Big graduation photo and new arc next week

Yup like I said this chapter was as boring as I thought it was.

Aijimu not being dead common sense would lead you to that conclusion, Medaka surving and getting to ceremony, again predicatble. Aside from from those supposedly heart rending speeching speeches not much really happens.

I did warn you on your optimism, Wolfenstein, I had a feeling Nisio would troll whatever expectations readers have for the next chapter. I hate being right...

I think wolfenstien was thinking of Kumagawa as the last bastion. He was by far the most popular character in Japan so he thought Nisio would put in more effort into the conclusion of his main story arc. I suppose if you seriously shipped Medaka and Kumagawa and wanted it at the expensive of his character development ala Zenkichi then maybe you could see this as a good scenario.

Ajimu returning is not surprising when you recall she already died once during Middle School.

What do you mean Kumagawa never wins a fight, Kumagawas wins plenty of fights, his schtick is basically i don't consider those fights as wins (when they really are) so they don't count. It'll simply now be of case of when he wins of fight he won't say I didn't win again.

TBF the whole chapter was very predictable, The unpredictableness come from 3 little words I finally win. Oh how easy it is to destroy sour several arcs worth of character development.

Compared to his first appearance, it's clear that Misogi is becoming more and more of a Plus since Medaka won against him. I mean, minus arc had him not giving a damn about anything or anyone, betraying and trolling people for the fun of it. Nowadays we have him exchanging email address with all the girls, wanting to hug Zenkichi and Hansode, being all emotional as he says goodbye to Medaka and growing attached to the main cast in general. It's not like I can't picture him being moved to tears when Medaka returns from the Moon.

What puzzles me more is why the spoilers say that Hanten went to the moon to help Medaka in her task despite being totally and utterly useless in the last arc. "I vow to stop you from battling Iihiko any more", and then he disappears until the end of the fight. He had the spotlight for two chapters after remaining a complete mystery for a long time, yet his characterization turned out to be terrible.
