Just marathoned Haruhi and I have to say - The DVD subtitles are horrible.
Hooorrible. Since I watched it dubbed twice, I remember most of the lines of the dub. Do you know how irritating it is to see a hilarious line being turned into something completely ordinary? Also, "future men". I don't know how afk's subs everyone has a hard-on for are, but I'm guessing they are better in that regard. I still think the dub is superior in terms of phrasing. |

The new mantra for Bandai seeems to be "We're only giveing dubs to Gundam but we still expect you to pay full price for them". So many series now not geting bought because of that. |

Other than that, I don't know anything about them, but unless they somehow managed to outdo the dub phrasing in every other part, this makes them bad. |

If anything, you can assume Haruhi doesn't say 'slider' in the introduction because Kyon told the younger Haruhi he hadn't met any sliders, only the other three, so Haruhi decided to focus on those instead. If it does end up bugging anyone I'm sure they'll just do some research.

You've apparently never seen the interviews with her they did for the Cowboy Bebop "Remix" DVDs where she's speaking in her normal voice, which most decidedly is "hot". Not that her Faye Valentine voice isn't when it calls for it to be (or Bleach's Yoruichi, for that matter).

Poll Time: Dubbed Endless Eight > Fan-subbed Endless Eight > Bandai-subbed Endless Eight
Implying '>' means 'will be greater than,' I say yes. The only really hard part about watching all eight episodes for me was reading the subtitles. I think hearing it in a language you understand will make watching it easier, plus you can focus more on the actual episodes (animation, music, whatever). Bandai's subs will only make reading it worse... And if most people think that way, a sub-only release of the new episodes will be bad.
