I have not seen the anime to OP and since it's coming out this fall i was wondering if i should see the sub first or wait for the dub? ?_? I know its like up to me and blah blah blah and who cares, but i just wanted some opinions first.

There have been lots of threads like this in the past... and this thread is prolly gonna get nuked... but anyways... I prefer watching Japanese cartoons in their original form with subtitles...

Waiting for the dub for One Piece that airs on FoxBox is not recommended since it's most likely going to get edited... if you are going to wait for a dub... wait for the DVDs that may come in the future...

Dubbing = 'Oh the horror'

I saw the trailer for the American release today. Not good. Not that I ever like dubs but all the same.

Not sure if it's been posted here or not (I assume I'm allowed to? -doesn't appear to be against any rules)

Well, I like most dubs (namely Wolf's Rain, CB, GCs Tales of Symphonia, PS2's XenoSaga jsut to name a few). But this one by 4Kids. Just stinks. In the words of Egan1, "oh the horror".

I just bet you if 4Kids heard this right now (that they were on this board), like I said. They'd be in tears, crying.

The One Piece dub didn't seem any worse than the rest of the shows on Cartoon Network or Fox. It was typically bad.

On the other hand Mew Mew Power was truly horrendous. It made One Piece look good by comparison.

Well, it's like I said. Not all dub are technically bad. Just look at Wolf's Rain or any other Bandai related anime.

And I myself, is just trying to get the hang of the 4Kids dub. I know they're not perfect in all (then again neither are we). If you have complaints do it to the dub company. And not the actors, because it's not the actors fault (FYI).
