It's 34-34 in Minnesota with 2:54 left. Peterson is on 163 yards. If this goes to overtime, he might just reach Dickerson's record. Or if he makes one more play that only he can. And ironically, the Packer's best WR tonight is Greg Jennings....
Seattle are still tied with St. Louis with under 2 to go. Edit: Wilson runs in a TD. Likely they'll escape with a win.

I hope it goes to overtime so AP has a realistic shot at the record. Edit: Even with two shots (due to overturned TD), Hawks couldn't get Wilson the record. With a meaningless game, they really should have gone for a passing TD. Edit: Shit. Peterson 9 yards short, and they just scored, so nearly no chance to get those yards.

OMG! Peterson is going insane this drive! But 199 with :03 left....he only makes it if they don't score the winning field goal...damn...
And they do. Minnesota win a thriller but Peterson falls 9 yards short of beating Dickerson's record. I believe that puts Minnesota in the playoffs?

The smack talk from a team that ended their season so poorly is going to be fun. I can't wait.
On another note, I think even without making the playoffs, that Lovie is safe. I hope I'm wrong. I really do. So....I want Hawks vs Skins, but my gut says the Cowboys win this game. Who's up for that bet?

So the only spot up for grabs is NFC East and goes to whoever wins between Dallas and Washington, right?
And I'm presuming seeds look something like: AFC: 1 - Denver 2 - New England 3 - Houston 4 - Baltimore 5 - Indy 6 - Cincincatti NFC 1 - Atlanta 2 - San Francisco 3 - Green Bay 4 - Dallas/Washington 5 - Seattle 6 - Minnesota

Funny that college coaches were reviled as NFL coaching candidates for the last decade, but now with the success of Harbaugh and Carroll; Chip Kelly, Nick Saban (a return), and Bill O'Brien are being looked at for open NFL slots. And Greg Schiano was hired last year. |
