I would rathre say than nobody would appreciate thoses. Plus I doubt than it would be much usefull; Mexico isn't the same environment than Yemen or Pakistan, collateral damage would be more probable.

I almost never post on this forums anymore, but given that you're never going to find anything resembling the truth about this in the media I'll make an exception.

If you want to know about the advert, there's not much of an opinion about it because it's simply a TV ad, and a political one at that, so it's not exactly the kind of thing people will talk about on a bar. Personally, I think it disgusting that the Olympic Games are being politicized like this, but they lost their integrity long ago.

The Argentinian claim over the islands is supported almost unanimously by the people of this country, which is to be expected given our education and the fact that it is in our constitution. Nevertheless, while claiming sovereignty over the islands may prove a fruitless endeavor, there's no reason to stop doing it. Even if a citizen of Argentina didn't agree with this claim based on their ideologies, they would gain nothing being actively against it. This issue is purely political.

About the right of self determination, Argentina's position is very clear, the islanders are seen as invaders and as such they don't have that right. Given that we don't even know who discovered the islands, the debate about who they originally belong to it's never going to end.

Let me be perfectly clear about this, no one in Argentina actually cares about the islands, they are nothing more than a political tool used by whoever is in power at the time to inspire a nationalistic feeling on the people, who sadly aren't smart enough to realize they are being manipulated.

Australia: Two neighbours brawl with a chainsaw and katana
Quote:
Two young frustrated neighbors in Australia decided to fight each other with a chainsaw and samurai sword, with both likely to lose a body part, after a brawl between the two homes involving several people.
.....
Must have been a hell of a fight.

The US should cooperate with the Mexican government in wiping out the Cartels.

I almost have more respect for the Afghan insurgents than I do for these cartel guys. At least the Taliban have some element of wanting foreigners out of their country. The Cartel guys are just gangsters.

Or at the very least, that it was batshit insane to risk attacking each-other when they each had melee weapons that dangerious.

The idea, that you could just send your military into another sovereign country to fight organized crime hiding in between the civil population is insane.

At best, it could be used for increased border security. But going after the cartels is police work.
Unlike in a warzone, you can't just shoot everything that moves in suspicious way.

Barefoot lawyers bring food security to India's tribes

Aside from the joke that you can never outargue an Indian lawyer because he will always speak faster than you, it is kind of intriguing to see a fight against land grab succeeding in a place messier than China.

The long-term impact of this on the EU might be interesting.

Yea we will see, but economic isn't the only thing, we need a adjustements in our social system, more and by far more morality in our political people, a better educational system. He has many battlefields, though economy is important, there are others ... important parts to work on.

Well done to him.

Now it's time to feast until 4am oh yeah.

Even if I'm not fond of "PS" at least we can say goodbye to the "Sarkozie" and Sarkozy and just for that, I'm really really happy

Next : The "legislative".

I never really got why people disliked Sarkozy so much. At least he got things done, even if they weren't all things I agree with.

And I'm really, really leery of Hollande's plan of spending German money. I fear the German may disagree.

Well, they already are. Through bi-lateral agreements, ESFS, ESM and ECB. *sigh*
Still Merkel somehow manages to come off in the press as a hardliner who puts German interests above all. I don't want to be here when the bill for all those European adventures arrives.
If Merkel really wanted to help Sarkozy, she should've openly declared her support for Hollande. Now Germany will have to spend even more money.
The only thing that currently unites the Europeans nations: everyone thinks he's got the short end of the stick.

And the Greek held elections today, too...
