~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If there's one thing I like so far is how united the other three girls are at stonewalling Akiko Also, unlike other harem shows where girls are one by one 'recruited' into the team and had to be trained from scratch, this one presented us with a fully functioning harem where everyone already knows the drill and procedures THERE ARE NO SECRETS IN THIS HOUSE.
LOL i grateful that MC of this series is not just a dull or weak guy. Whenever cliche scenes happen you usually think "Oh, it's gonna be like this", but Akito is capable of changing the flow with something completely different, like when Akiko convinced him with her brocon fetish, he completely ignored her and counter her statements with his snarky comments, and Akiko just got tricked into his wordplays.
I like Akiko's character design and her eagerness is appealing. Glad to see that Akito has a brain for once. I'm anticipating some zany antics as the girls compete in future episodes.
Why are they parents ALWAYS killed in stories like these? Endless "Why are those complaints coming from your hungry mouth?" Soul
I'm enjoying this show much more than a sane person probably should, watched EP1 2 times already and probably gonna watch it a few more before the next episode. I just can't get enough of Akiko.. that design, and especially that voice, goddamnit
It's been common trope in most harem anime nowadays. Parents died, went overseas, or the protagonist lives separated from them. It's because harem genre works perfectly when The MC have no parental supervision at the moment.
well that may be the case but in some harem genre when the parents are away and come back to see that their kid has a harem they usually accept it like nothing (i.e to love ru) or in like in hsdxd the parents really dont care how many chicks he has which i think is awsome.
I don't know. It kinda felt like the pacing was weird and the jokes fell flat compared to Keiichiro Kawaguchi's other TV series. I'm no staff expert (Midonin is the only reason I knew this was Kawaguchi in the first place), but I like this first episode the least of the shows I've seen from Kawaguchi. This show is just so comparatively low-energy, and the energy was what I liked about the other Kawaguchi shows...
I thought the art style looked very familiar. Interesting to see the artists of Mayo Chiki in this project. I love how this show immediately cut to the chase straight to the harem sequence where everyone is apparently in the student council and are obviously fighting for Akiko's love right in front of him, and he accepts it as though it was a normal thing that occurs in the house/dorm. This should be fun to see.
Just finished the episode and like the novels I'm definitely following this. A boy living in a dorm with a few girls (sister included) nothing new, but oh well in harems don't change what works.
Don't know about the source material, but I enjoyed this first episode.
The sister's voice and lines are very clear and fun to listen to, and the bantar between all the girls at the end was entertaining. Looks like a good light-hearted show for this season.
That blond girl voice actress use totally same voice as horizon from horizon.
Not like I'm complaining or anything but when you watch to much stuff (even though you avoid VA names just so you won't know who did what), it just hard when you imagine other character while looking at someone. Story seems quite funny and light. Might follow it for *not engaging* fluff anime of the season. That is if it won't flop in future eps.
It kinda makes sense if you think about it, this is all mostly from Akiko's pov. Before she realized it, her onii-chan already has a fully functioning harem before the main heroine has ever entered the scene!
Kind of disappointed that they threw in the girls moving in from the first episode, that didn't happen until over a month after the siblings had gotten back together in the novels. I hope that won't mean we're going to have drastically reduced sibling together time, those were my favorite parts.
