I had some talk with my friend today and he said they working on season 2 for tenjou tenge. Can anyone tell me if this is true or not? if it so, when will they release it?

well....i don't mind reading the manga, but fighting scenes are just not meant for several frames to capture. I need motion pictures to trully enjoy the fighting scene in this series. I did read the first 2 volume of the manga, but it's just way better watching the fights in movement.

Whatever came of those Ultimate Fight or Battle (whatever they were called) OVAs? To my knowledge only two were made/released... Did they leave it open for a second season or advance the plot in any meaningful fashion?

The anime took a different direction actually. Well, at the point where the manga is now, it's possible to link the OVAs and the current story together.

While the anime is left open for another season, I highly doubt one will be made. At least, there won't be any for quite some time.

What the hell? I spent all that time watching 1-24 and that end sucked. And then the end of the two OVAs sucked.

Yes, it's ongoing. The last raw (and translation) that came out was from Volume 13, ch. 103 to be exact. The manga is starting to be good again (the whole Souhaku deal was kinda boring) and we see that Asuga-senpai is not an useless piece of crap :lol:

ADRIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!! ahahahhaa (if someone read 103, they will know what the hell i'm talking about).

About the anime... it was good, except for the whole DBZ fight crap with Mitsuomi and Souichirou.

I just stayed up for an extra 5 hours after working my 12 hour shift so I could finish this anime. All I can say is....What happened?!? It seemed to be going so smoothly, but I kept getting more and more nervous because I was running out of episodes. Even the 2 OVAs seemed to start going somewhere and then just stopped. Was there some financial reasons or are they just waiting to do another season? I'm trying to search online on various sites to see if, somehow, someone has missed something on this site, but...I have been up close to 20 hours now and I doubt I'll find anything. I really enjoyed this anime up until I found there wasn't any more. I still have hopes considering the way it left off and that the manga is still going. Somehow, I think I'd like the manga too, but I can't read japanese and I'd rather not read the english translations that our American publishers put out. Sorry for rambling and possiblely wasting some of your time, but I've forgotten the main reason for posting this....Well...It was something along the lines of "Is there any new information on what's going on with this anime? I've only had time to read through these last two pages on this topic and scan through some official sites. Are they taking a break or is the anime dead. If so for any reasons can you post a link as to where they say this. I'm afraid I'll not accept it if I don't see someone official/in charge say what the anime's fate is. I'm babbling again...so I'll head off to bed before I take up any more of your time. Thanks.

the OVas are not OVAs but 2 24min TV sized eps with a new ending basically they didn't have the balls/cash/time to air them,all in all Tenjou tenge is a ok fighting anime with a simi solid story...tons better than Ikkitousen...

I think they simply ran out of time/money prehaps they wanted a 52 ep series but only got 26 eps its happens from time to time.

Read the Manga, quite a bit happens to them ESPECIALLY Souichiro. Lets just say you haven't met his mom yet.

And no nothing is resolved yet, the Manga isn't done.

The anime was ok, as all it did was follow the manga precisely up to the point near the ending......... The only thing now is that if they decided to go on the "follow the manga course" then they'll need to stick to it and hopefully finish it in order for people to get a better opinion of them.... If that doesn't happen then most people who haven't read the manga would just think that it's an incomplete semi decent fighting anime..

I just finished watching the series and the ultimate fight OVAs and i hope they continue with a new series but after over 3 years since the OVAs were released i doubt they will which is a shame

If they didnt continue Hunter X Hunter and other anime then continuing this anime would highly be unlikely

I wish they do though!

Does anything happen between Aya / Souchiro or Souchiro / Maya?

Im a sucker for romance in this kind of animes and the one thing i hate the most is when i finish watching the last episode and end up... WTF¡? What happens to them?
