Congrats to Tokyo Little League
Surprised not to see it mentioned before now, but Japan won their 7th LLWS title today, and their first since 2001. They beat a Hawaiian team (with a bunch of Japanese-American kids) 4-1 in an amazingly well-played game between two teams that, refreshingly, actually look like Little Leaguers and not High Schoolers. Japan's little guys play like their big guys - not many HRs, but great defense, baserunning and situational hitting. They flashed some amazing leather today and committed only 4 errors in 6 games. Banzai!

Aw man. I miss this Little League Baseball season. How shameful of me....
Congrats to the Japanese team. Thanks for the information, Enzo. "not many HRs, but great defense" that's the Japanese way of baseball. Last edited by james0246; 2010-08-30 at 00:50. |

I'm not a sports fan of any kind but I saw part of this game on TV, I didn't even know their was a game, I was just flipping through and it caught my eye. I think it was the 3ed or 4th inning, and short-stop made an amazing play and got Hawaii out at first base (Not sure on the rules of BB but I think I understood that happened).
