Feel free to discuss any music related subjects for Shin Sekai Yori here (OP/ED & OST, etc.). As the usual rule, NO POSTING LINKS TO MP3s OR ASKING FOR THEM. You may buy them at the usual place such as cdjapan and what not, but DO NOT ask for or post links to any music downloads. This includes, but isn't limited to:
  • any RAR, ZIP, 7-ZIP archive
  • Torrents
  • The names of other BT sites that list music torrents
  • Direct downloads

This also includes links to YouTube videos NOT uploaded by the original artist.

No idea as yet. The show's website has just updated today to confirm that the TV size version will be released on the soundtrack CD that's bundled with the first BD release, which suggests that there IS a longer version still to be released - but at the moment, we still have no idea when.

This is one of the most beautifully illustrated EDs I've seen in many a day. I wasn't enamored by the song at first because of the abrupt halts in the guitar line, but it has grown on me over time. The fireworks animations are the most photo-realistic renderings of fireworks displays I've ever seen in anime. I also admire the silhouettes and use of pastels. Just really lovely.

I really like the BGM, particularly the faux OP (song usually playing while the OP credits appear).

This series has the best ending this season by far. Took me two episodes in to realize how fantastic it is, but the whole thing is frighteningly captivating.

..and this the one we have to wait longest on. Damn it all.

I agree. Wareta Ringo just sounds so pretty, and I love the guitar in the background.

The lack of a full version release date really bothers me, though. For the time being, I'll just have to settle with this edited version:

The fireworks might just be CG. Everything else is beautiful 2D animation, though. Speaking of the ending, people who liked it should check out the Naruto Shippuden ED #20. It's done by the same animator who did the Shin Sekai Yori ending, in a very similar style.

About the music of the series, I think it's unfortunately one of its weak points. The main theme is fantastic, but most of the other tracks are terribly generic. The combat/action tracks are particularly tedious.

The ED single has now been confirmed to be released on 25th January 2013 - I believe the mobile phone ringtone version is already out.

Oh for f's sake. Talk about fanservice. Seriously, wtf guys, isn't this a bit too late to start pandering?

After this I don't have any hope left in the ED visuals. :/ I guess this will be one of those endings that I skip and pretend they don't exist.

^ it's definitely pandering At the very least, the actual song is quite beautiful, even without the lyrics. Overall quite an awesome single, and glad to hear 割れたリンゴ full. Probably my favorite anison single in the past year.

For me it just adds insult to injury that, based on what we heard in the anime, I actually find the song pretty bland. Maybe the full version is better...

While I agree the song by itself isn't amazing, I liked how it fit the slideshow well.

I will miss the old ED... the new is fine (especially the chorus), but far from as lovely as the first one.

It's always been difficult to find a copy of the ED version of Wareta Ringo on sites like YouTube. I'm guessing Sony has been vigilant in requesting their removal. Unfortunately that seems to leave us with just this version. Visually it is incredibly boring. I wonder why it has apparently become the official version when the original is so strikingly beautiful? This one even has the TV Asahi logo on the bottom, but I don't recall seeing this version at all either on Crunchy or in fansubs.
