I guess that's why I like the 2nd ED so much (I'd rather not pick out which one is "better"). It soothens the heart wrenching mood through out the whole volume.

Inaba has become more and more interested in the people that are researching them through the volumes. I wonder if any positive happen to her through the volumes.

Any further details for the scene with Inaba sitting alone in her room? Was she deciding whether or not to call Taichi or hopelessly waiting for him to call? LN seems to always have more details...

Do you mean by her sitting in her own room in the dark?

Yep. She's clearly got the wavering eye effect going on, so she's thinking about Taichi or the situation, but they show a shot of her phone.

You know what, interestingly, that 3 second scene is an anime original.

It was never explicitly stated that Inaba was checking her phone in the novel. The novel did, however, right after the first phone conversation between Iori and Taichi, which is the end of that chapter, the next chapter starts with Inaba's monologe with her feeling uneasy about something. So yes, I'd say the anime implied that she, too, also got the sudden urge to call Taichi, but Iori beat her to it.

Kinda makes me wish they had more than the first 5 chapters of the novel translated. As much I like the anime, it still feels like I'm missing something by not reading the novels.

But one thing I really want to know is:
Spoiler for character progress:

I just recently came after the anime version of Kokoro Connect, and wanted to find more about it. It seems like there is 8 Volumes, could anyone tell me how anyone got there information on any of the volumes? Are there places like summaries or translation? Baka-Tsuki isn't pretty far so that is sort of a problem.

Most of the readers here, myself included, uses the Chinese Translations which are up till volume 4 and starting on vol 5. Less than a handful here actually read the original up till the latest volume.

Can you read chinese?

My primary source is chinese translations, which is currently progressing up to Volume 6 Ch.3, while missing Volume 4 Ch.10 and Volume 5 Short Story#4 before that.

The information I have for Volume 6~8 are from various spoilers and raw scan munching (not fluent but manage to get 60~70% of it with the help of a dictionary).

There are a number of spoiler posts that tells of the plots through out this thread. I also made a post that summarizes the gimmicks for each volume if that's what you're looking for.
