Very poetic, indeed.

So, basically, the message is that to move on Jun has to accept his past rather than try to change it. I agree!

Best part of the episode:

Souseiseki: "You touched my body gently every day"
Shinku & Suiginto: *staaaarrrrrre*

I'm glad this episode has a change of pace. I'm looking forward to seeing how this will end. This has been a rather slow season for this series, with 3 episodes to go.

Souseiseki is such a lewd girl

Told you there would be some fun, even if they did skip one of my favorite parts.

Kanaria being useful and big Jun acknowledgeing her kashira tic was pretty nice too.

That scene was great indeed. The best part of the episode for me was the conversation between the two Juns, however.

Kanaria freeing her sisters was a good scene as well. I had no idea she could be this awesome. She always seemed like a clown...

Turns out Jun is more popular than he thought he was.

That was a great bit and a great line, yeah.

I really liked all the character interactions in this episode. I agree with Kanon about the meeting of the two Juns and the conversation they had. It was very interesting and well-done, I felt.

I also found it hilarious how much adult!Jun was like a harem lead in this episode. All the Rozen Maidens fighting over him (to make a contract with him) actually made me think a bit of Infinite Stratos, lol.

Kanaria's big violin-playing moment was also very nice.

My only significant criticism is that the metaphysics of this episode is a bit weird, and at times hard to follow. But it's no big deal given the richness of the character interactions, and the satisfaction felt at finally seeing a lot of Rozen Maidens on-screen, as well as Jun meeting Jun.

Is pretty hilarious how this guy who had such a negative outlook has turned into this odd harem lead. Pretty much all the dolls are after him and even as Saito out there as well. So damn important all of a sudden .

Great line for Souseiseki as well . Though Shinku doesn't have to be that upset since she has the same story there...Though this is Souseiseki's real body and not a fake one like Shinku.

Kind of handy that Suiseiseki and Souseiseki can exchange Rosa Mysticas like that. Though puts Suigintou in a odd position where she obviously doesn't want to give up what she has.

I recommend reading the manga chapter associated with this. The fight over Jun is drawn out a bit more with all four dolls grabbing one of his limbs, and big Jun feeling happy that he's finally popular.

I think this episode for the first time feels like a true fusion of the "old" and "new" faces of Rozen Maiden in anime form. The dolls are prominent, each with their own signature peccadilloes (which can be insufferable in less capable hands), but the feel and tone of the story are very much in-line with the rest of Zurückspulen and its focus on Jun's personal growth - when Jun decried his own uselessness and resolved that he had to take charge of his own fate, even if he wasn't sure how, I knew things were still solidly on-track.

I like Souseiseki best among all the dolls - her reflective, sober and serious manner reflects a soul that's experienced too much sadness in life to worry about flashy mannerisms and catch phrases. Having her back in the saddle is a nice bonus for what's already been by far my favorite RM adaptation.

Now we have everyone but Hina, yet something about this still isn't working for me at all.
And was it just me, but did this Shinku seem completely off in this episode?

In what way? This is an entity that knows that its time is up and at any moment she could cease to exist.

I probably wouldn't act the same either.

Guys, I think I'm attracted to a doll. Kirakishou has worked her magic on me whether she was trying to or not.

I always hated Karakishou's appearance, but in these two episodes there were a couple times that I actually liked the way they presented her visually. Whenever they do closeups of her it's not very good looking, but when they make her appear more in the background, she looks good. Especially at the end of episode 9 when she's on Jun's back she's pretty adorable. Beyond that she's as unappealing as ever.

As always, I find that the best thing about this Rozen Maiden is Jun, even over the wonderful lineup of dolls and Saito. He's an interesting character, which is more than I can say for nearly every anime hero ever.

Wow. That was rather kinkier than I expected...between Kira licking all over Jun and Boku's 'YOU TOUCHED MY BODY' along with Shinku and Gin staring at Jun like a couple of pissed off babes in a harem anime.

Kanaria is comedy gold, I think

I'd be a lot more sad about Desu but I think we all know she'll be back.

The only disappointment I had was that I'd thought Kira's battle would be a lot more than just one episode...Oh well.

The whole thing was a bit strange. Big battle! Harem choice! Intermission!

A lot of great moments though. Surprisingly Kanaria is much more interesting here than previously. I hated Kanaria in the other Rozen Maidens. In this one she's actually quite cute.

So since Jun has a harem of dolls, does that make him a master of puppets?

LOLLLLLLLLLLLL......

I never really had opinions on Kanaria or Gin in the previous series, but man oh man, I really like them a lot now. Even with Boku.

All that's left is Hina.

I won't rewatch the episode until the whole series is finished, but it was how I felt at the time. I think her expressions actually played a big part of it, I much prefer the Nomad style and sometimes this art really catches me off-guard.
